I recently had the privilege of working with an outstanding physical therapist in Brooklyn who truly transformed my life. I had been dealing with excruciating shoulder and back pain for months, and it was affecting every aspect of my daily routine. Desperate for relief, I sought out the expertise of Stephanie Chan and I can confidently say it was the best decision I've ever made for my health.
From the moment I stepped into the studio, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. Chan immediately put me at ease with their extensive knowledge and compassionate approach.
What stood out to me was Chan's thorough assessment of my condition. She took the time to listen attentively to my concerns, asked detailed questions about my pain, and performed a comprehensive evaluation. It was evident that Chan was not only highly skilled but genuinely invested in understanding the root cause of my discomfort.
The personalized treatment plan crafted by Chan was nothing short of miraculous. Through a combination of targeted exercises, hands-on therapy, and expert guidance, I began to experience significant relief after just two sessions. Chan was not only a skilled practitioner but also an incredible motivator, encouraging me every step of the way and providing clear explanations about the purpose of each exercise.
What truly sets Chan apart is her commitment to empowering patients. She not only focused on immediate pain relief but also equipped me with the knowledge and tools to continue my rehabilitation independently. The level of education and support I received surpassed my expectations and made me feel like an active participant in my own healing journey.
After a few weeks of consistent sessions, I am thrilled to report that my shoulder and back pain are virtually nonexistent. I never thought I would feel this good again! Chan has not only restored my physical well-being but has also instilled in me a newfound appreciation for the importance of proper body mechanics and self-care.
If you're in Brooklyn and in need of a phenomenal physical therapist, I wholeheartedly recommend Stephanie Chan. Their expertise, empathy, and dedication to patient care are unparalleled. Thank you, dear Stephanie for giving me my life back (and...
Read moreI cannot recommend Stephanie enough. I saw her for rehabilitation after surgery for a torn labrum in Spring 2018.
Even though my insurance only covered a half hour one-on-one appointment, she frequently stayed for nearly an hour and made sure I knew what exercises I should do at home because I could not afford to go twice a week. She took care to try different techniques for restoring my mobility when they seemed excessively difficult or painful. By the end of my sessions we had settled on a routine that struck the right balance between challenging and effective. Additionally, she always made sure to explain why we were doing the exercise - what muscles to focus on, what mobility we're working on, what the goal was - which made it significantly easier to continue my treatments at home.
Beyond being an extremely talented and knowledgeable physical therapist, she was also an absolute pleasure to work with. As someone who would normally cancel PT appointments once I could do the exercises on my own, I continued going because there was such a noticeable difference and I truly looked forward to the appointments.
Between Stephanie's dedication, knowledge and personality I cannot...
Read moreDr Chan must have magic hands. I initially brought my mom to her for her very stubborn shoulder issues. She's got multiple injections for her shoulder but nothing really helped much. After a few visits to Dr. Chan, her mobility immediately improved.
After some struggle, I started go to Dr. Chan for postpartum back and feet pains. I have had severe back pain and occasional leg give-outs in the past few years. After I gave birth, everything just got out of control and my back pain traveled down to my feet that I have very painful feet. I started going to her at 6 month postpartum, with very little hope (I thought I was just going to be miserable for my life! What do I know!? hehe) Dr. Chan quickly identified my pain on my feet came from my back and we worked together for the a few weeks to strengthen my core and adjust my misaligned pelvic bones, together with regular exercising (I rock climb), I got back to pregnancy strength very quickly. It also greatly helped with my postpartum depression.
She's also extremely easy to talk to and very friendly. I have never had any PTs who are as knowledgable and precise as she is. I couldn't be more thankful for what...
