Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in New York

The service here is ridiculously slow and the workers here are absolutely horrible. I go to school around here and my favorite place to eat is Popeyes but I was so put off by the awful customer service I experienced EVERY TIME I came here that I had to write an awful review and hope someone does something about the horrible workers here. Here are some experiences I have had:

1. I was charged for a soda as part of my combo when I didn't ask for one - before the cashier filled the cup with the soda and before I paid for anything I asked her for NO SODA and she 100% refused to take off the charge and said "either you get biscuits or soda" which is UNACCEPTABLE because I know you can take off the charge for soda.
2. I waited a good 20 minutes at an empty cashier because the cashiers were gossiping on the side (I even asked to be helped a few times but was IGNORED)
3. I watched as cashiers ridiculed larger women on multiple occasions.
4. The workers are ridiculously slow and lack motivation. They are rude and clearly do not want to be there. This Popeyes does not deserve any customers until they have some employee training or something of that sort. Do not go here, try a different Popeyes or a different restaurant - there are...

Food - Not bad. The chicken was crispy and juicy. I ordered spicy but barely detected any spice, I wish they had spicier options! The rice and beans were awful, it looked nothing like the picture but looked and tasted like slop. Please do not get this! The fries were like classic Popeye's fries, no complaints. Same with the biscuit.

Service - It's alright. They took a long time with my order, despite me ordering things at a similar time and type of my friends.. so it took forever for us to get out of there. Also, they didn't give me napkins besides me requesting them in the order. If you're going to forget something that important, just leave it out on the counter.

Atmosphere - They have a TV playing some random show which is overdo in my opinion. I've never seen a fast food place do this. It's nice entertainment I guess, but I just don't think it's needed. Having to talk over a loud TV is not ideal. Also, there isn't much seating so beware!! It's a pretty small place. And a homeless man came in to harass us. I don't expect the workers to do much because let's be real, they do not get paid enough, but if possible I'd suggest going to...

This was my first time visiting this location. I ordered a spicy sandwich and after tasting it, it wasn’t as spicy as the other ones I’ve had before. I returned to the cashier and asked if she had given me a mild by accident. She stepped to the back where she asked the food handler if this was spicy. The food handler yelled, it’s spicy what more she wants some hot sauce? They then started to speak in another language and I’m sure it was anything pleasant because I heard something along the line of, “this is just Popeyes”. I guess I shouldn’t have any expectations of decent service or what I ordered. The manager standing next to her said that’s how spicy it comes. She had a very nasty attitude so I asked for a refund because at that point I no longer wanted to have any additional interaction with that type of attitude. She said I could wait 7 minutes for another sandwich or until she’s done with her customer order for the refund.
