After I got my earrings, the very next night one fell out at dinner and it was never found so that’s $100 gone! All I had done between getting the earring and 24 hours later having it fall out, was sleep and walk around New York City. No physical activity, nothing to make this airing, part. The older woman who put the earrings in was struggling a lot and having problems putting it in which doesn’t make sense because the piercings have been there each for eight years so they were just replacement earrings for getting new jewelry purposes.

Also I inquired about the prices of both earrings I purchased and then when I was charged there was an extra $60 for the backs. I’ve never encountered that in my life, the full price should’ve been disclosed.

Upon arriving home I went to a piercer this morning and they told me the backing didn’t fit properly and there should be a little ball at the end of the earring post to make it snap and stay in. She had to change my earrings out for me, which I had to pay a fee for, and the one earring that I still have from elite jewelers she said I will have to frequently push together because there’s a good chance it will fall out, since the backing that I was charged extra money for was too big for the earring, they didn’t match. She also said that the remaining earring should not have been bent the way the woman at elite jewelers had bent it because the post is too delicate and the earring was sticking out from my ear which of course makes it more vulnerable to breaking and digs into my skin.

A refund would be great! For the total price since the one remaining is likely to fall out as well.

Next time I will definitely go to Maria Tash. They were closed and I was leaving the city soon so that’s why I did not go there,...

Came here to get a new tragus earring since I came here during the pandemic and the last earring held up pretty well so I expected better as a returning customer. Paid $115 for a tiny star stud and while she was applying it I noticed she was struggling to get it on, taking the lazy way out by using my old back piece thats over 3 years old instead of putting a new bar that fit the new jewelry to my ear properly. She said it was fine so I gave it the benefit of the doubt thinking she knew what she was doing. Fast forward to a few days later my ear is killing me and I noticed the stars edges were digging into my skin causing it to get swollen and causing so much pain. This is a piercing I’ve had since 2019 which is long healed. I had to go to another shop to get looked at and they agreed that the bar was way too short for this piece. Fast forward again to a week later and the star completely disappeared off my ear somehow and is gone. This is due to her negligence and failing to give me a proper back piece for this jewelry. I won’t ever be back. Complete waste of my money and I should have been able to enjoy this jewelry for quite a while but due to this woman’s laziness I came out losing. I’m pretty upset about my treatment here.

Came in Saturday early afternoon, there was a woman already in the chair getting a piercing and another sitting and waiting. No one else. I came in, he asked me what I was looking for and I said a piercing and checked if they take walk ins. He said they do and it’d be about 10 minutes. I said no problem.

I sat and waited. The second woman gets her piercing and finishes up and as she’s paying, a group of 3 women walk in. Piercer proceeds to completely ignore me. I walk around to check the jewelry I want, and stand at the front ready to talk to him so I can tell him the jewelry and get my piercing. Still being ignored as he chats it up with these women. He then turns to me and says “can I help you?” ….yes. I’ve been in here this entire time. Can I please get some help with jewelry for my piercing? Literally tells me “let me just help them first and I’ll get right back to you”.

Honestly? That was really rude and disrespectful. Is their money greener than mine? I thought about staying for a bit because I found a really cute piece, but I don’t need to tolerate the disrespect.
