What can I say about Ellebrow? To put it simply? Life saving. A little over a year ago, a very naive me thought it would be a brilliant idea to pluck off more than half of my eyebrows. Why? Because I thought it would grow back nicely! I know, I know! You're all cringing. "IT WILL NEVER GROW BACK THE RIGHT WAY, IF AT ALL!" I learned the hard way. I went over a year with strange, hardly existent eyebrows. I penciled in my eyebrows every single day. And because I had so little to work with, it would take me about an hour. A painful, frustrating, and sometimes tearworthy hour. It consumed my life. I was obsessive. I spent an obscene amount of money on products. Pencils, dip brows, you name it! Finally, I learned of microblading. I searched high and low for the perfect place. I stumbled upon Ellebrow's instagram and was taken aback. Ant's work was a dream. There I was comforted because I had realized that people had gone in with virtually no eyebrows like myself, only to come out with gorgeous instagrammable brows after. It was settled. I was doing this for the brow nightmare to finally end. I made my appointment back in August and was able to get in early October. The anticipation leading up to my appointment was like a child waiting for Christmas morning. I couldn't wait to FINALLY have eyebrows. Finally, the day came. The appointment was about two hours. Ant drew my eyebrows on to how she saw that they would soften and flatter my face, of course, allowing me the option to tweak it if I felt neccessary. Within minutes she drew on the first brow. It was PERFECT. Nothing to be fixed. Her vision was flawless. I knew I would be in good hands. Ant made sure to get every last detail perfectly, measuring them out and erasing what seemed off and fixing it again. Finally, it was time to get them permanantly drawn onto my face. I was a little nervous because I have never had a tattoo in my life so I wasn't sure of my pain threshold. Ant made me very comfortable and put some numbing cream on my brow area and got to work. "Are you drawing them on now?" She was. I didn't feel a thing. It felt like absolutely nothing at all. In some places you could feel a slight sting but nothing unbareable. Kinda like getting your brows threaded but much gentler. In an odd way, it was soothing. After all was said and done...seeing the finished product look was amazing. I couldn't believe it. I still can't believe it. I had EYEBROWS! I had eyebrows again! Oh, how I missed them. And my gosh, it was relief to know I wouldn't have to spend all that time drawing them onto my face. Talk about time saver and an emotional relief. Ant gave me a care kit for my brows which I had followed as stated. The healing process wasn't bad either. A little itchy and then I went through that milky phase (to which I had to message Rob and make sure all was well). If you're like me, that milky phase will throw you off because your brows will be dark the first few days and suddenly lighten to a legit milky color. That's due to the scabbing over and falling off, etc. That happened maybe a week to nine days in. After the second week, all was well. My eyebrows were showing through again. They're practically flawless and I can't wait for my touchup to seal the deal. Thank you Rob and Ant for bringing my confidence back. My new...
Read moreI had been searching around for places that offer microblading because my eyebrows were very thin. I stumbled upon Ellebrow, and after reading reviews and comparing across prices, I found that this place was a bang for your buck! I contacted the company on their Facebook page to inquire about the procedure and prices. All of my questions were adequately answered.
Nervous and excited, I decided to give it a try.
Upon entering, I was greeted by a friendly face. I noticed a waiting area in my peripheral, which was definitely a plus. Ant, the specialist, led me into a comfortable room where the procedure is done. I was asked to sit on a tall stool so she could examine the current state of my brows. She was very thorough in explaining everything, from the way it works to how the procedure is done. She began by creating and showing me an outline of how the shape would look after the session. Next, she showed me an assortment of colors to choose from and recommended the shade that would look best. I took her advice and went with that color.
I laid on a comfortable surface as numbing cream was applied on my brows. I was nervous about this, but there very little to no pain! After about 15 minutes, the cream was removed and the procedure began. In total, it took about 3-4 hours for the entire thing, but it was definitely worth it! I noticed a significance difference in the appearance of my brows and even in my face. It was more symmetrical and full. Most importantly, it looked so natural! I could hardly differentiate between the real hairs and the strokes!
Ant provided precise aftercare instructions to ensure that they healed properly. She also showed me pictures of how they might look at different intervals of the healing time (i.e. 1 day, 2 days, 5 days, 1 week, 2 weeks). It took about 2 weeks for mine to completely heal but once they did, I was so happy! I no longer had to apply makeup because they already looked perfect!
Then after a couple of months, the ink began fading (which happens) so I scheduled for a touchup. As discussed during the first session, the touchup would only cost $100 instead of the full price so I definitely wanted to get it. I scheduled my appointment for late-April, four months after the initial procedure. Ellebrow kept me updated on cancellations/openings in the meantime, which portrayed excellent customer service. In addition, I was able to use a deal for $20 off. Then, to really win me over they provided an additional deal.
So to say the least, I'm in love!
I could not have asked for better service. They always responded to my questions, comments and concerns. They were articulate in providing information. And they are very customer-oriented and professional. Amazing overall...
Read moreI checked out another place that has tons and tons of great reviews before coming to Ellebrow. There I saw the master specialist for a consult and I thought what she proposed (using an eyeliner) looked just ok. I booked an appointment anyway, since that place had such a good reputation. But because they were booking so far out, I checked out another place that I stumbled upon on Yelp in the meantime - Ellebrow. I went to Ellebrow and had a consult with Ant and I knew that was the place for me. I canceled my appointment with the other location and booked with Ant. The location is clean, serene, and welcoming and Ant was a true artist and very professional. First of all, when I saw her for the consult, she gave me advice on what would look good on my face and would work with the eyebrows I already have. It wasn't necessarily what I wanted to hear at first but...she was totally right. When you go for a consult, she really studies you. She pointed out that my eyebrows were uneven after years of electrolysis (obviously too much electrolysis). I had no idea! Now I can see it in photos (I mean, it's subtle but it's there) but somehow I missed it for literally years. She took one look at me and saw it. Because Ant is also in demand, I had to wait a couple of months for my appointment. In that time, their prices went up but they honored the price I was quoted when I booked. I finally had my appointment last week. Throughout the whole procedure, Ant was very nice and checked in with me about how I was doing. I have tons of tattoos on my body so perhaps you should take this with a grain of salt but it really was not painful. The numbing ointment she uses really works. At best the procedure was somewhat uncomfortable and stinging at time. The procedure did take awhile because Ant really takes her time. She is a perfectionist but - if someone is microblading your face, you really want them to aim for perfection! I'm thrilled with the result. Her work is absolutely outstanding. I can't praise her enough. It's also worth noting that you make all of the arrangements through FB messenger with Rob. He's very nice and responds quickly. I strongly...
