Read moreMy recent visit to Green Desk Dumbo. Emails to this office eye friendly enough. However, on arriving to personally inspect, was the opposite. All office managers seemed to have a”I really don’t care “ attitude. more concerned with her dog at the front desk. Spaces in my price range were small, microscopic, maybe 4 feet by 5 feet, no window averaging around$500 a month! You could barely squeeze a desk in there! All offices had glass walls, absolutely no privacy at all!! I stressed this in all my emails, Must Have privacy. living and working in a glass house. explain to me how an office with all glass walls is private?! How delusional can one be?! If office had a window 4 feet by 5 feet, looking at around $650 a month! Absurd! Enviroment looked old, drab, depressing and shabby! Desk, what they called a desk, peeling up on top, disgusting! I would never, ever,… let me repeat, NEVER EVER invite a client or customers into this depressing, drab, hippie commune looking space!!! I would be embarrassed and client would most likely never return. And, I could not blame them. You’re far better off working from your home, save that money to other better things. I most regret them wasting time and my entire day claiming they could provide what my company required, then they delivered on none of it! Again, staff all seemed to have a” I don’t give a f~k attitude! If there was a less than one star, I would leave that. I was visiting from UK specifically to view offices. This...
Our production company spent two months at GreenDesk throughout prep-production, principal photography and wrap. It was very convenient to have all departments (production, wardrobe, covid team) except art at one location though in separate rooms. We were still closely connected but everybody could have their own space that varied in size, layout and outlook depending on their need. We could do our rehearsals at the large conference room, our talent and crew could hang out in the hallway and kitchen lounge comfortably; we had various small rooms available for meetings that we could book in advance. The Dumbo area is a great location to be, easy to commute, safe late at night, lots of restaurant are around and has a great artistic vibe to spend time. The close proximity of the train certainly gives a basic beat and rhythm to the day but we were in the heart of Brooklyn after all. The 24-hour access to the offices is definitely a plus as well as having a freight elevator, a loading dock and access to printing. The entire GreenDesk space and our offices were kept spotlessly clean; our garbage had been emptied several times a day. Karen at the reception was very accommodating and helped us whenever we needed support. Cannot...

I have been working out of an office at the "Green Desk" for close on three years. It is a great concept, allowing one to have a suitably sized and furnished office without paying an exorbitant rental fee. There are many available conveniences, in the offices, such as internet, printing facilities and land lines. The building has kitchens, coffee shops, telephone booths and conference rooms. One may have a small office but still have the ability of conducting large meetings, in one of the conference rooms, in the proximity of one's office. "Green Desk" is close to all amenities which are available in "Dumbo". There are banks, restaurants, cafes, hardware shops and even a small post office. The subway at York Street is only one block away. Parking facilities are also available nearby, for those who come in by car.
Justine, who manages the Green Desk office, is extremely helpful, efficient and always available to assist when needed. It is a pleasure working with her. She goes the extra mile to make one's working experience more pleasant.
It is a great idea having an office at the "Green Desk". It beats Manhattan, any...
