i show hair studio — Local services in New York

Not happy. I went today for highlights and haircut. Highlights are ok. The one that cut my hair, he said his name is Jacob, cut my hair so short. I showed him 2 pictures to follow, one is shorter, and one is longer, I told him the 2nd one is I wanted to. What he did, he cut it too short like the first picture and followed the style of the 2nd picture. See the 2ns picture, that’s the length I asked for, which is nowhere near with the cut he did to me!!!THE FIRST time I was there, he did a great job, and I gave him a very generous tip of $50 just for cutting my hair, now- such a waste of my time, garbage and wasted my money. I hate to give him a tip, and still gave but only $15. I wanted to give him nothing, but he asked in his chinese language if I give the lady that did my highlights, coz after paying and giving the lady the tip, I went back to the mirror to see, how ugly it was and trying to figure out if he deserves a tip. But, being a Christian with a good heart, still gave him $15. All my family is laughing at me, and telling me, haircut is so ugly!!! WILL NEVER COME...

I’ve been here a few times but the sanitary conditions has been getting worst and worst. Again, this is the most dirtiest salon and unclean environment I’ve stepped in NYC. Someone should report this place as unsanitary to New York State Department of State because this salon does not comply with health and safety regulations.

The salon itself was so disgustingly dirty with hair everywhere from table, to every corners of the floor. 【They use a dryer to blow hair from one place to another！and never bothered to sweep the floor】Allen’s station was covered in hair clippings from dye colors from previous clients, and none of the tools seemed sanitized. 【The comb he used on me still had hair from the previous girl】I couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable as I sat there, especially when I noticed he reused the same comb and scissors from the previous client without cleaning them. Hygiene clearly isn’t a priority here, which is absolutely unacceptable in any salon...

Ishow Hair Studio is a hidden gem! The studio is super clean, nicely maintained, and has a comfortable, welcoming vibe. The staff are friendly and skilled — you can tell they really care about making sure you leave happy with your look.

Just a heads-up: it’s cash only, so make sure to swing by the ATM beforehand. And don’t forget to tip your stylist — they definitely deserve it for the quality and care they put into their work. Will definitely be...
