Ultimate BBQ Feast and was completely blown away by the variety and quality of the meats and side dishes. ✅ Thick-Cut Beef Tongue Absolutely delicious! But a word of caution—don't overcook it. A quick grill on each side is all it needs to stay tender and flavorful. ✅ Marbled Wagyu Beef (Snowflake Cut) Melt-in-your-mouth perfection. This cut is incredibly tender with no sinew at all. It’s quite fatty, which adds to the buttery texture. The flavor is subtle, so I recommend dipping it in soy sauce or house seasonings. ✅ Veal Steak Cuts Served sliced from a whole steak, this one’s just as tender as the marbled beef but with slightly less fat. The meat isn’t chewy at all, though it’s also on the milder side in terms of flavor. ✅ Black Pork Belly & Pork Neck This was a surprise hit! The staff suggested adding a touch of wasabi on top of the pork belly while it's still hot. When you bite in, the melted wasabi releases a sharp kick that hits your nose in the best way. Seriously addictive. ⭕ Beef Short Ribs Lean and not too oily. There's a bit of tendon, but it’s chewy in a satisfying way—not tough. Still, if you're not into tendon, you might want to skip this one. ⭕ Hanger Steak The least exciting cut for me. It's just standard beef—slightly dry compared to the others and lacks the tenderness or chew of the short ribs or marbled cuts. ✅ Extras: Squid & Crispy Sausages The thick-cut squid was fresh and tender, not rubbery at all. The crispy sausages were juicy and packed with flavor.
🍢 Other Available BBQ Options: Sukiyaki (with marshmallow on top!), Kalbi short ribs, thin-sliced Wagyu, garlic beef, beef cubes, beef heart, beef intestines, chicken, and more. Seafood options include squid and shrimp.
🍽 Small Bites & Sides – Surprisingly Good! 🌟 Grilled Chicken Wings Seasoned with New Orleans-style spices. Smoky and flavorful. 🌟 Korean-style Chicken Bites Crispy popcorn chicken topped with a sweet Korean-style glaze. Generous portion too! 🌟 Crispy Shrimp Hand Roll Crunchy tempura shrimp wrapped in fresh seaweed. Very satisfying. 🌟 Eel Hand Roll Also tasty, but eat it quickly before the seaweed gets soggy. 🌟 Salmon & Tuna Sashimi Decent, but don’t expect too much—it is a BBQ place, after all. The sashimi is marinated and a bit firm. There's some sauce and scallion on top, but it doesn't add much. 🌟 Crispy Volcano Mashed Potatoes A giant serving of creamy mashed potatoes topped with salad dressing and crushed potato chips. So good it stole the show!
🍚 Mains & Rice Dishes You’re spoiled for choice here: Unagi (Eel) Rice Bowl Cold Noodles Wagyu Fried Rice Stone Bowl Bibimbap Salted Scallion Beef Rice Plus, there’s kimchi, spicy tofu, mini BBQ burgers, wagyu sandwiches, salad, and more.
This place offers way more than just grilled meat. The quality of the beef (especially the Wagyu and veal) is impressive, and the creativity in the sides really makes the experience feel like a full-on feast. I didn’t even come close to finishing everything I wanted to try—definitely going back...
Read moreAs someone who frequents different Korean BBQ places, this was by a long shot the WORST. If you want to get treated with respect and have your boundaries respected (GO SOMEWHERE ELSE). I usually do not review places, but the experience was so exceptionally horrible that I felt it is my duty to warn others to stay away. Contrary to others reviews we were seated quickly, and our order was taken quickly as well. Everything started off great, until we got to the cooking of the food items. First off, the waiter did seem like he was in a rush taking our order (even though the place was practically empty which makes sense now) we should have taken this as a sign. First bizarre incident was when the waiter ordered the recommended meats for us without us asking (which at the moment we did not mind too much) but it was still uncomfortable as no waiter has ever ordered for us before. Second, when the cooking of the food started the waiter kept adding and cooking our food carelessly, cross contaminating the vegetables we were cooking, with the raw beef. He would also just throw meat on the grill, if there was a space, without asking us if it was ok with us. I’m not sure if he thought this was our first time at a Korean BBQ place but in other Korean BBQ places, they would wait for us to place our food items and occasionally come by and help us. He then kept cooking, taking meat out and placing it on our plate just for us to put it back because it was not cooked how we like it. This became an EXTREMELY awkward put in and take out game at a point. NOW this is when things got what I consider disrespectful. I'm not sure if he went to someone and maybe complained about us not cooking the meat "properly" or how they think is "proper”, but one can only assume this is what he did given what happened next. A lady came to change the grill, granted our grilling tray did need changing, but instead of nicely letting us know she was going to change the grill she proceeded to remove the food cause she was going to change it and goes "I am going to remove the grill and most of this food is done anyway" placing what was left on the grill, on our plates in the MOST condescending (you guys don't know what you are doing) tone we have ever experienced from a KBBQ employee. When you go to a Korean BBQ spot, yes, they help you sometimes (with respectful boundaries) but to flat out mock us because SHE felt OUR food was ready to eat was what I can only describe as horrendous treatment of a customer. At this point, we have had enough and basically felt like we were treated like two idiots that didn't know what we were doing. We lost our appetite and did not even want to continue grilling even though we were still hungry. Some advice, go elsewhere, because it seems, as per the comments, that if you are not having a big event like a birthday, the customer service is appalling. Save yourself the money, dignity and time and go somewhere else, NYC has plenty of ACTUAL high end and high-quality AYCE...
Read moreGot myself some fancy lunch today with a couple of other friends, I've bookmarked this place for a while after seeing it on Instagram. Finally got to try it today :)
I originally came hoping to get the ferries wheel seafood set but went for the bbq set instead to try that out first. It's a cool space but no air vents for the bbq which is strange so you'll smell like bbq when you finish! It does also get a bit hot by the grill and smoke will be coming at you in all directions haha so watch out for that.
Sitting by the window at noon was not a good choice, my friends were in the sun and felt like they went to the beach with the heat, so ask to sit inside for a cooler experience.
My friends and I went with the $69 AYCE option and ordered 3 drinks for each of us, one with alcohol for the fancy burning effect and the totally came out to be $102 per person (with the default 18% tip).
When we were paying at the end with our cards, they look at you when you add the tip (starting at 18%...), it always feels so awkward when they do that, having someone stand by you while you add in the tip, or when you sign your card. They do that in ktown too which I dislike. Almost feels like we're forced to tip that much unless you do your own calculations while the staff is waiting on the side, plus we had a small group and it's for lunch, I would've went with 15% if that option was there.
Out of all the food we tried, there was only one or two cuts of meat from the limited addition that I liked (not beef tongue or pork jowl), probably the prime short rib or kalbi not sure which cut. The meat kinda all blends together after a while…
We did the dragon boat combo which comes with 4 special limited cuts - portion was quite big for the 3 of us, we had to stop them from cooking some of the pork since it wasn't that good.
All the fried side dishes weren't that good, like fried shrimp, karaage (fried chicken), spicy fried chicken were average and a little dry. Skippable in my opinion. I liked the eel over rice and my friend liked the beef bone soup. You can also try the special chef sauce. I personally like the meat with the salad sauce and thought they went well together.
Other cuts of meat were a bit too chewy for me and were average too outside of the limited cuts. They'll help you grill which is kinda nice. It is pretty stuffing with the dragon boat and we were pretty full after eating that.
For the drinks, Lychee rose tea was okay, a bit too sweet so I had to add some water. The burning drink fanhua was a bit too strong for me so adding some water made it better. More for the gram and not something I'd order again.
Overall I'd say I'm not that impressed, it's a place that's cool to try once but I won't be coming back unless I'm going with a larger group to try more items. We came at 12pm and it was all empty, price point feels higher than other options in flushing, so it's gotta be another special occasion if I were...
