Inverse Time Beauty — Local services in New York

Went to Inverse Time Beauty for their Stress Relief Head Treatment. It lasted for 45min is $38. It was my first time ever having this "hair spa" type treatment. I saw a post on the Flushing BiD Instagram page and gave it a try. You do have to make an appointment but I was able to make an appointment the same day. Inverse Time Beauty is on the second floor. The place looked pretty clean. There are three (maybe four) tables for the head treatments. Each one separated by a double curtain. They had me remove my top (including bra) and gave me a towel wrap to cover myself. You have a little cupboard on the wall to keep your belongings. Shoes come off and you get to lie down. You are covered with a cozy blanket. The person washed my hair maybe a total of 4-5 times. Each time massaging my head with various instruments. The first hair massage was with my hair dry and I felt bad because it is a hot day and I know my hair & scalp must have been sweaty. You also get a neck and shoulder massage twice! One with water flowing down on your collarbone and the second while your hair is under a steam dome. It was very relaxing overall. My hair was soft afterwards. I would have taken pictures but I totally forgot to ask. The lady did speak English. There is maybe a total of three people who work there. She did tell me there is an hour hair treatment that includes a face mask that I should try the next time. At the end while I'm paying, she did try to get to sign up for a VIP type thing where I leave money down for whatever treatments down the line. I politely declined. Overall, I would go again and probably try the hair treatment with the face mask. They also have other treatments...

The head spa was an absolute highlight. It included a relaxing scalp massage, deep cleansing, and aromatherapy that melted away all stress. I left feeling mentally refreshed and physically lighter.

Beyond the exceptional treatments, what truly stood out was the amazing service and genuine hospitality. Jeffany and the staff made me feel valued and well cared for, and their attention to hygiene and comfort was evident throughout my visit.

I have been on the hunt for a good quality head spa that doesn’t break the bank, and I have been disappointed by the options that TikTok and Instagram have been recommending (don’t want to name names but you know who you are👀!). I would really like to gatekeep this place but I also want good businesses to thrive so here we go:
