We were referred to Jay by our Mortgage broker at HSBC. We were moving from Brooklyn back to Manhattan for the first time in 15 years. We were moving because both of our children are going to school on the UWS and we wanted them to be close to their school and their classmates. Naturally, we were apprehensive about moving to this new neighborhood.

Coming from Brooklyn, we were used to a loftier kind of apartment and lifestyle. After seeing a LOT of apartments on the UWS with Jay, we realized the “Classic 6” is not our vibe. Jay was incredibly patient with us and the needs of our family. It became apparent we were looking for a specific type of apartment. When one place fell through, Jay became even more committed to finding us a place for our family which would make us comfortable in this new neighborhood. He understands the importance of a home being more than a home. Jay fought for our family tirelessly.

On the other end, Jay also represented out apartment in Brooklyn on the sale side. Jay and his team, Rachel and Jason, were absolutely amazing. Not only pleasant and comforting, but also diligent and understanding. They gave great feedback and insight. And, they were also respectful of our time and space.

They guided us and gave us confidence that we are going to accomplish our goals with our sale. After the first open house, we had an offer at full ask and a lot of additional interest. Immediately, after the second open house, we went into ‘best and final’. We sold our place in record time and record price.

As a first-time home buy in New York City, my goal was to break away from the rental gods that continued to leave me with no equity and an empty wallet. Jay got me off the ground to understand the renovation process and I continue to consult him regularly even though I have closed.
