Update a/o 2/16/24 - So recently I started bringing my mom to get her hair done as she’s getting older, and I need to watch her a little more closely. I can’t describe the joy, warmth and pampering she feels when she comes here. She’s elated, and just to see that look of pure joy on her face is priceless. We are truly treated like family here. A great big heartfelt thank you to Patrick, Lila, Anjolie, Evelyn, Millie, Donada, Ella and the front desk team.
Quick Update Here a/o 4/28/23 - Rudy did a phenomenal job with my highlights and Patrick cut and styled my hair to perfection as always. I’d like to thank Evelyn who is such a sweetheart and always welcomes me so very warmly. It’s a blessing to encounter such a talented and wonderful staff.

Read moreDO NOT TRUST THIS SALON. I am so sad to report that Julien Farel cannot be trusted to do the right thing and evidently doesn’t have his clients back. After spending six hours in a chair getting brand new extensions, I went to Julien Farel Salon for my haircut as I normally do. I asked for long layers and curtain bangs. Their stylist Patrick hacked off my hair in the most shocking way. It’s so bad that I have to put in new extensions in the front now and start from scratch, which will cost me siginificant money and time. Julien is refusing to pay for this mistake and replace my extensions. Julien will only cut my hair more, which means I have to accept a haircut I didn’t ask for or pay for. This used to be my favorite salon for cuts and blowouts in nyc, and I will never ever go there again and you shouldn’t either. Now we know that if something goes wrong, Julien will not do the right thing and is willing to lose customers over it. I’m shocked...
Read moreCame in asking for a more dramatic look, ended up with the most basic, highlighted bob. The colourist, Christopher, was nice and tried to remedy it by adding a streak of lighter colour at front. The hairdresser, Steven, made it very clear that he couldn’t be bothered to answer my questions, give his opinion or his time to the cut/blowout. They both knew I came all the way from London to get this done and I usually love the salon. I told Steven I wanted to leave with curls and even suggested how he could do that with a drier, I ended up with a straight bob. It was 7pm on Saturday so I guess he wanted to head out for the night. The worst part was how rude he was to the assistant helping him (she is Hispanic looking and something about this maple the whole thing worse for me) making it clear that he was irritated and didn’t want to be there.
