In my entire life I have never experienced such blatant disrespect and lack of professionalism. One would expect this hair salon to be staffed with experienced technicians given the neighborhood and location next to Hermès but BEWARE…

An entire chunk of hair literally fell off due to the hair dye being left on for too long. The color was also completely wrong - instead of a gunmetal dark silvery gray, the outcome was a light blue. A consultation was made the day before to assess the best approach given the fact that in the past 3 years there have been two color treatments. This was not taken into account during the highlights /coloring process.

THE OWNER HAD THE AUDACITY TO SAY THAT IT MUST’VE LOOKED LIKE THIS UPON ARRIVAL.

He became very defensive and insisted this catastrophe was by no means a result of negligence by his employee and that his salon uses top products. I really have no words because it’s unbelievable that he made such a false claim. It will take YEARS for that section of hair to grow back not to mention the mental trauma and humiliation that K&S Salon has caused.

I have been going to the same person for years now and have been happy with the results. I have always received compliments on my blonde color and people asking where I get my hair done. But my girl only did color and I had to get my hair cut with someone else (typical in NY). I found myself usually blow drying my own hair and leaving the salon with my hair tied back. I missed getting a blow out when paying so much for my coloring (again typical for NY).

So I decided to look for someone new. I did some research, I take my hair VERY seriously ;) And found Yan and K&S Salon. Their reviews were exceptional so I decided to book an appointment.

I booked a full set of highlights & a cut. All I can say is that I was BEYOND happy with the results. Yan colored my hair a little differntly that would prolong my next visit. I have very long hair and it grows fast so I usually try to go in every 5-6 weeks at the most. And he was right! My roots were less visible than before.

My cut was great, he did exactly what I asked for even though I miss those two inches ;) And he was right! I have received compliments on my hair and have referred friends to go to his salon.

I had a terrible experience at this salon with Kim as my stylist. I specifically went in for highlights (which I have gotten with Kim before) and Kim assured me that my hair could handle it. However, after the appointment, my hair was left extremely damaged and broken. It's clear that Kim didn't take proper care of my hair and didn't have the expertise she claimed.

Not only did Kim leave my hair damaged and broken, but she also got the color wrong three times. Despite me clearly expressing that I did not want ashy tones, she managed to turn my hair a grayish brown (I came in blonde). When I expressed my dissatisfaction, she brushed it off and basically said, "Oh well, I have another client." This lack of professionalism and disregard for my wishes made the entire experience even worse. As a result, I had to go to another salon and spend a lot of money for a color correction and a repairing treatment (luckily they fixed my color). I'm truly disappointed with Kim's service and the overall experience at this salon. Avoid at all costs.
