Key Food Supermarkets — Local services in New York

I like this supermarket and the staff is friendly and the cashiers always greet you with a warm lovely smile. Happy they have the same young ladies working every time I come in! The manger is a very pleasant guy who treats everyone well and his staff! The store is always kept clean and well stocked and organized and pretty much have have what you need and they have Fresh produce, I never feel cheated out of money I always save. Even their cold cuts for making sandwiches are always fresh. For those that are complaining about the prices being unfair or over priced please stop and be blessed that you are able to shop for groceries while some can not. If you feel this supermarket is over priced and out of your budget you can always head over too conpare supermarket and deal with their prices that I personally feel is expensive and over rated. Do not shop here! If I could rate zero stars I would. This is the closest grocery store and yet is the worst grocery I've ever stepped foot in. The fruit and vegetables are always rotting, usually with a swarm of fruit flies hovering over them. The eggs and milk are always sold a day before they expire! Once I came in on a Monday, and didn't buy eggs because they expired in two days. I came in later that week on Friday, and the same eggs were still there! Chicken, packaged herbs, fish- it's always expired! And it's not just fresh goods! I recently bought a jar of pickles (in July) and got home to realize they expired four months ago!!! I used to think I just happened to come in on bad days, but now I realize that Key Foods must make money off selling food that is expired or close to expiring. I hardly ever give negative reviews, but this store left me no choice but to...

This place is very unprofessional managers. I bought a soda pulled it out my bag put it down for a second. When I put it back in my bag the guy there was a guard stood behind me. And told me am I going to pay for what I put in the bag. I was so appalled the way he approached me. I showed them the receipt from the other store. He said no it's okay don't worry about it. Spoke to the manager and he blew it off these people are horrible. I've had two bad experiences there. When was with the price. It was on the item the manager told me is not on sale anymore sales anymore. I suggested they remove the advertisement. He said oh well it's going to stay that price....
