Vegetarian Chinese Dim Sum in Williamsburg, ilysm🫶 #vegan #williamsburg #veganrestaurant #nycvegan #nycrestaurants #chinesefood #veganchinese

How did I miss this place before? It's a very yummy vegetarian joint with a few dishes including egg. But most items being pretty much vegan. I love that this place is not fussy or pretentious. But it is also not a bullet proof glass take out joint. It's just about the food and the staff is very positive as well. I really enjoyed the classic soul and R&B they were playing. In contrast to the hipster tunes or top 40 you often hear at most places. Nice atmosphere, and not too crowded for a smaller place. I suppose they do a lot of takeout business? On to the food. Everything I have tried here is excellent. It is right on that line between ordinary and fusion. Some ingredients are a little different. But for the most part it's what you expect from a Chinese place. Except vegetarian. I appreciate that the spicy dishes aren't watered down. They have actual heat and bite. Plenty of flavor. Admittedly I'm ecstatic over this place because I no longer have to go all the way into Manhattan for vegetarian dim sum. Plan on trying the entire menu eventually! I'm going to rope in my Brooklyn friends for meals at this place whenever we are in the area. Support your vegetarian businesses!

I’ve been wanting to try this place for so long and I’m glad I finally able to after lockdown! We went for dine in and everything was beyond delicious! The tofu dumplings were truly the best dumplings I’ve ever had from any non-veg/vegetarian/vegan Asian restaurant in NYC, the filling was so flavorful and spiced just right to create a wonderful punch of a bite every time! The dough and filling were also in perfect portion, a thin layer of chewy dough with the ideal serving size of filling inside! We also had the mapo tofu - completely delicious with an expertise balance in flavor profile between the texture and the spice! The general tso’s chicken was also so flavorful and crispy! In addition, the service was beyond lovely, you can truly tell just how much the chefs and owners care about customer satisfaction, ready and willing to adjust the flavors and make sure everything is tailored just right for all individual taste preferences. Vivian is such a doll and wonderfully genuine gem of a person too! The atmosphere is so warm and friendly and you immediately feel welcomed from the start, just stepping in! Completely worth the food and experience...

Believe me, you can trust all the five star reviews here. The place is a jewel of the neighborhood, and I must admit there are times when I eat here multiple times in a week. Small space, incredibly friendly family vibes, and honestly one of the best veggie spots I’ve been to in NY, and I’ve been to many. The many highlights include the mapo tofu, kung pao (ask for it extra spicy), crispy tofu or veggie chicken in Szechuan sauce, and of course the dry pot tofu. Oh and the chili oil wonton is excellent - get it with a Xian burger for dipping into the sauce. The box sets are great too if you like variety, especially box set b. And the drunken seitan is great, unlike anything I’ve had before - chewy, sweet and savory. I guess what I’m trying to say is it’s all good. I don’t know what I would do if this place were to ever leave the neighborhood. Probably...
