This review is about the food. Service was great our server was really nice. My family and I came in to eat yesterday late afternoon-evening hours. We ordered a jalea, a green fettuccini with steak and salchipapa. My husband and I ate the jalea and picked at the rest of the food which we brought home since we were full with the jalea. We came home and later at night my husband started feeling weird stomachache and left it alone but then he had to run to the bathroom to throw up and later on I felt the same. Long story short we both got food poisoning from the Jalea. Today I asked my husband to call the restaurant to tell them to be more careful to check their kitchen etc my husband calls a guy picks up and in no part of the conversation did he apologize, ask something or anything. He asked us if we were sure that’s all we had ate trying to make us responsible for getting sick. And said alright I’ll talk to the kitchen and hung up the phone. The actions taken after this were horrible no empathy on customers that paid $200+ on...

You know, I usually never make any complaint, but as a driver I have to do it, the Latin guys who I guess is the supposedly bartender, he is a really mean person, I am not knew doing deliveries but this guy the 3 or 4 times that I have been picked up food from this restaurant show an arrogant, and antisocial aptitude, I do Not know why ???, maybe he believes that drivers are worker or person with less value than the customer or his coworker, plus he does not give you the order if you don’t confirm previously it, something that is not big deal, but he can give the bag in your hands, plus if you say thanks you!!he does not respond , I don’t know what he believes that he is , but his misbehavior with drivers especially is really disgusting , I hope that someone can teach him to be more polite and kind with all the people, in fact customers are not the only people who cares, drivers do as well, we do not work for this restaurant or...

Horrible service. Waiter saw us entering with a wheelchair and did not help with the door. He then proceeded to make multiple passive aggressive comments that were super rude and made for an uncomfortable experience. He implied that the place was too expensive for us, which was funny considering that we spent 3-4 times as much at a steak house recently. I also heard him speaking negatively about us to the kitchen staff. It's a small place and I have great hearing.

As for the food, the Anticuchos were good. The Chaufa Mixto lacked flavor and was surprisingly spicy. The waiter said they use ginger in the rice. Never have I ever tasted ginger in Chaufa rice and I've had it in different cities and states. I asked for some sauce to tone the spice down. He brought out a super cold sauce, which he later tried to charge me $8 for. Overall, the food was disappointing and the service made it worse.

Also, the bathroom is not...

I wanted to know where Peruvian people go to eat Peruvian food when they're Homesick & Hungry. La Chacra 613 Grand St, Brooklyn, NY 11211 The leche de tigre, ceviche, and pollo a la brasa were all great, want to go back to try more Peruvian food. #creatorsearchinsights #peruvianfood #peruvian #nyceats #nycfood

I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Chacra, a fantastic Peruvian restaurant in Brooklyn. The experience was superb from start to finish. The standout dish for me was the Anticucho de Corazón, which was exceptionally flavorful and tender. The portions here are generous, ensuring you leave satisfied and full. The green sauce was a pleasant surprise—perfectly spiced and incredibly tasty, adding an extra kick to the meal. The service at La Chacra is outstanding. The staff were quick, attentive, and very kind, making sure that all our needs were met promptly. Additionally, the restaurant maintains a high standard of cleanliness and organization, creating a comfortable and inviting dining environment. Overall, La Chacra is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious Peruvian cuisine with excellent service.

Is this the best Peruvian restaurant I’ve had? No, but it is really good and probably one of the best ones in this neighborhood. The portions are good, prices are good, atmosphere is nice and the staff is incredible and for that, they get 5 āļøā€™s from me. Was celebrating a relatives birthday and asked for a candle with dessert; they went all out! From a cute bottle shaped candle to playing happy birthday in Spanish on the speakers & the two staff present coming out with little instruments and singing along- wow! That alone won my business again! The food was good, fresh and they got everything right. The waitress was very attentive & the bartender made some really good passion fruit margaritas. Thank you for your incredible service- I look forward to returning šŸ„‚
