Lao Feng Xiang- LFX Jewelry — Local services in New York

This is an updated very positive review of Lao Feng Xiang that reflects my honest experience at the store recently and also in the past. I recently wrote a very negative review, but upon re-considering I have decided to put an HONEST 4 star review and share my thoughts and also my recent experience here and hopefully this review will help the store address some issues that can only improve the shopping experience for others and increase sales at this amazing store. The jewelry at this store is manufactured using a new technology called electro forming, which is why every piece you see here is perfectly manufactured using 24k gold. All of the unique designs on display here are one of a kind. I have been coming to this store for almost a year now but I have not yet purchased anything. This is because I have been waiting to see if anything would arrive at the store that matches the rest of my jewelry, and I was patiently still looking. For the past 7 years most of my 24k gold jewelry has been purchased from LukFook next door to Lao Feng Xiang. This time I wanted to be a Lao Feng Xiang customer. When I came into the store a few weeks ago wonderful sales girl showed me an amazing 24k gold ring that weighed 18 grams. I really wanted this ring and I promised to come back the next week. At the back of the store the sign said that they close at 6:30pm, so the following week when I arrived at 6pm fully prepared to buy the ring I was surprised that they wouldn’t let me in and instead said that they were closed! It is important to understand that not every customer is coming to Lao Feng Xiang to waste the time of the store. Sometimes we are not ready to buy on the spot because the item we need to buy is not yet in the store. So we keep coming to the store because there is always a chance that there are new pieces that might be what we are looking for. This was the case with the 18 gram 24k ring that the sales girl showed me. Also if the store hours says that they close at 6:30 pm and we arrive at 6pm it is very confusing. The manager understandably was angry with me because I was knocking on the door trying to get in because I wanted to buy that ring. As a result I was not allowed to shop at the store anymore, because of the review I wrote at the time, reflecting my experience at the time. It is here that I want to point out that I do NOT like writing bad reviews. It can hurt a business. That is not my intention. I only want Lao Feng Xiang to succeed and this is why I have updated my review. I SINCERELY believe that when we, the customers share our real-life experiences it can only help a store in improving the experience for the next customer. Horrendous service. Absolutely horrid. Fiancé and I went in to look at possible wedding rings and asked to see if they had any couple's sets. We were shown cheap-looking, gaudy rings. When we clarified, the sales lady insisted that's what they had. Turning to another counter, we found paired wedding bands.

We did find bands we liked. We asked if we could take pictures. Immediate no. We asked if they had a website. Quick no. I don't know if it's because they weren't proud of their products or because we didn't look wealthy or because we were a mixed couple, but we felt very unwelcome. I walked in to this store today looking for wedding bands and when I entered there were two young ladies doing some sort of paperwork in the corner. I stood around for several minutes and no one even acknowledged me so I took a seat and waited another few minutes until an older salesman finished with a male and female customer he asked if I needed help at which point I told him that I was looking for wedding bands. He then sat down and started doing paperwork as if I wasn’t even standing there. The staff looked at me as if I was going to rob the place.
