recently witnessed a shocking display of ignorance at a store. While a customer was purchasing baby wipes, two Hispanic women working at the cash register engaged in a conversation that left me stunned. They insisted that their children, who are as old as five or ten, did not know how to wipe themselves properly with regular toilet paper and therefore must use wet wipes. I was appalled to hear such misguided and uninformed statements being made in a place of business, especially by individuals who struggled communicating with non Spanish speaking customers and were responsible working the cash register. It was deeply concerning to see such a lack of basic knowledge and understanding. FIY To be clear, the use of baby wipes versus toilet paper is not about incompetence but rather a matter of different applications and considerations: Baby Wipes: Specifically designed for a baby's delicate skin, baby wipes are used to clean the diaper area, effectively removing urine and stool while soothing the skin and preventing diaper rash. Toilet Paper: Although a more cost-effective option, toilet paper does not clean as thoroughly as wet wipes. For those with sensitive skin, unscented wet wipes might be a better alternative. Additional considerations include: Hygiene: Wet wipes are generally more hygienic than toilet paper, as they clean more thoroughly and can be made with antibacterial or natural...
Read moreThis place has everything: clothes, furniture, toys, accessories, & some electronics for a pretty good price. But the manager can be so nasty. I was going to buy some curtains and it had a price marked on it and when she scanned it; it marked a different price. I asked her if she can give me the price on the tag because thats what all others stores do but instead She was throwing a fit so I just took a deep breath and told her i didn't want it and left. I went again and I saw this beautiful shower head and I saw on the sign that i can exchange it within the time limit if it didn't work. So I went to pay and just to make sure I asked her respectfully if "I could come and change it if at any case it didn't work", and she responded "No! You can't exchange it. you must either want it or not. Once you get it you can't come back" and I recited the SIGN that was behind her and she was getting mad. Mind you she not only does it to me but to others when I go. I have friends and neighbors who go and have an excuse about her too. She wants to act like the owner of the whole store and she speaks so nasty to the employees too. The woman in the right of the photo was also complaining about her...
Read moreHeavily discounted odd lot type store. Got quite a few good prices here on clothing, housewares, non -perishable foods here and looking forward to returning here! Located on Roosevelt Avenue right by the 7 train, with a front and back entrance. Last trip bought fluffy bath sheet size towels, shower curtain liner, European chocolate, inexpensive but really nice summer top and capri pants. They also sell ladies and men's undergarments, gadgets and fun items. Look around to see what they have right now, items and stock change regularly so you may or may not find exactly same stuff each time. However, in my humble opinion, you will find something you like most of the time! Situated in a busy Queens Chinatown area near many bus lines, Macy's across the street, and many other stores, good Asian restaurants, fast foods, hotels, Asian grocery stores and municipal parking lot next to...
