My friend and I went in for a head massage. Normally, I would check the review of the place but it was referred to me by someone so I took their word for it. That was my first mistake.
The massage was very rough and the woman who brushed my hair was not gentle at all. She did not speak English so I couldn’t communicate that I was in pain however, my facial expressions showed that I was very uncomfortable. It was definitely not a relaxing experience especially in the end when I ran through my hair and pulled out a handful of hair after she brushed it.
My reason for leaving this review is because although the experience was not the best, I was going to leave a 18% tip ($10) for my 60 minute massage of $55. As we were about to leave, they stopped us and said we needed to leave a $15 tip according to a sign they had up which goes by hourly massages and not dollar amount. That turned out to be a 27% tip for the worst massage ever.
Never coming back here again nor would I refer anyone else to this place. It’s been a few hours since my massage and I have a severe headache...
Read moreDue to all the hype, my best friend and I went to this hair massage/wash spa. We had high hope for this spa because it was recommended by someone we know. But I was extremely disappointed and will definitely not go back or recommend this spa to anyone. Please stay away if you want to have a nice and relaxing experience. First of all, I’m the type of a person that loves getting my head massage but this was disappointing. I paid $55 (not worth it)for 60 minutes head massage/wash and it felt like a regular hair wash you can just get from a hair salon. The massage was not good and absolutely not relaxing at all. very unsatisfied. We paid $10 tips (being generous) but they stopped us and demanded we pay more. They have a sign that says for 60 minutes we need to pay $15 or more tips. For 90 minutes, $25 or more tips. If you want a place that demands you to pay 27% tips with bad experience this is the...
Read moreI suddenly remembered this massage place today where I got a prepaid card a long time ago (two years ago). Back then, I liked a massage therapist named Jason, but after he left, I didn’t really go back. Since I was passing by today, I decided to use up the remaining balance on my card.
I got a $35 foot massage and gave a $10 cash tip. However, the front desk insisted I must give a $15 tip instead—taken directly from my prepaid card balance. Does that mean the therapist gets nothing unless I tip 42.85%?
I was shocked by the attitude—basically refusing to let me leave until I paid more. Even though I paid it, the whole experience left me really uncomfortable.
The place seemed clean when I first bought the card, but overall, the other therapists don’t...
