MAC Cosmetics — Local services in New York

So, life got in the way (positively) which really delayed me posting my very first experience with Mac cosmetics Soho (506 Broadway).

Let me start by first saying: 12 out 10! That's not a typo! Yes, I said 12 out of 10!

I had a three (3) day event in NYC this past April (2025) and needed to find a talented artist to create different looks two (2) out of the three (3) days. After a pain staking search, I came across an artist whom I believe could handle the task, however, their schedule would not allow. After gaining the knowledge of what I was looking to have done, they eagerly referred me to Mac cosmetics Soho specifically and recommended that I speak with Gabby. I'm glad I did.

The collaboration with Gabby, Kenzie, and Gloria, the manager at the location who, helped to pull it all together, was nothing short of EXCELLENCE! From introduction to execution was sheer artistry.

Gabby was up first for day one (1) with total creative control and she did not disappoint. That evening at the event, the compliments never ended. Everyone wanted to know what artist did the work. (That was graciously shared).

For the third day of the event, which was an all-day affair, Kenzie was up for that challenge to create an amazing look that would last. She did not disappoint either!

Given creative control as well, she created a jaw-dropping look that was beyond what I imagined, and once again, the compliments flowed endlessly.

Gabby and Kenzie are truly epic artists in their industry!

If they were able to create such dynamic looks for my event, do not hesitate to use them for yours! They are both very much into the details to make the perfect look and their skills, to me, are next level! My only regret is that I didn't utilize them for all three (3) days. ...Next time!

All my best experiences in life with makeup have been at MAC but my very best experience had to have been with Justyna. I came in to inquire about foundation and I left with a wealth of knowledge and upgraded technique. Justyna was so warm, welcoming and personable. She took her time with me to learn what I’ve been doing, what I’m looking for, demoing product placement, walking me through application and introducing me to new makeup to add to my arsenal.

I have been wanting to upgrade my makeup and didn’t exactly know how. Today, I left feeling like I have a whole new understanding of not only product but my face, application and a plethora of complimentary product I would’ve never imagined using.

Being a woman that possesses loads of melanin, I am often very apprehensive when getting makeup recommendations. Justyna has such a clear passion for makeup but also a vast understanding, beyond complexion. She understood all of my makeup concerns and was able to point me in the best direction. Nothing was muted/gray/ashy, she matched my tone, showed me products that would enhance what I already have and a few prep products to make it all last. I am in love with all that I bought and I would recommend Justyna a million times over!

I got so many compliments today. A woman shopping in store asked if I was getting married. I wasn’t but that’s a testament to how timeless, glowy and beautiful Justyna’s work is. A true artist, teacher and lover of...

MAC's products may be quality however their staffs’ behavior and customer service is abhorrent. I made a purchase there and then decided to return it which involved more steps and stress then necessary. My girlfriend called MAC in the Queens Center Mall and they ensured her that a return could be done. At the store we were greeted by a cashier that was very annoyed and didn't bother much to explain only to say that the return must be done in a MAC store and not Macy's. The other day I went to the MAC store in SoHo with the original receipt and the receipt to which I did an exchange with. The cashier advised that only a store card or check by mail can be issued. I explained that I had all the receipts and can they try the original receipt. They remained firm and stated the system shows no other options and they won't try anything else. I was able to make the return but now I have to wait for a check...
