I never post reviews but I had a really disappointing experience here. First, my gel nails lasted me 3 days until my first chip. My appointment was 7pm on Tuesday, by 3pm Friday, my left thumb had chipped. I’ve never had gel nails chip before and I’ve been getting mine done for quite some time. I usually go 3+ weeks no issues, until my nails are too grown out and I need a redo. But 3 days is heinous. My left index finger nail is also starting to chip. I am right handed and rarely use my left hand. I am not surprised as the coats my nail tech applied were extremely thin. Not to mention how the tech didn’t clean the debris at the end of my nails after filing, so much so that the ends of my nails were snagging on my sweater. I had to ask the receptionist to file them before I paid and left. Second, I heard my nail tech and my friend’s nail tech speaking about us. I understand their native language and when my friend’s nail tech asked a question to mine, I answered for her. Since then both techs were quiet until I left. The one sentence I heard clearly, was not a bad thing, but I did feel uncomfortable knowing they were discussing us. I really wanted to like this place as it is close to my home and got good reviews, but I will not be returning.

I have recently gotten a new job that requires me to have nice looking hands (luxury sales) and my nails are prone to breakage with just regular polish on so I figured I’d give this place a try! My first ever dip manicure given by Anna lasted four weeks! There was maybe one finger with slight chipping on the side but it wasn’t really noticeable at all. I was seriously so impressed. And I could’ve gone without another refresh for longer but I wasn’t a huge fan of how grown out my nails had become. It seems like each nail tech has different strengths so it’s nice to see who you vibe with most. Jessi did my powder dip today and she took such a nice time making sure they were absolutely perfect! I was so grateful for all the shaping she did. I had heard dip manicures aren’t great because the removal can be tough but whatever you guys did today to remove my other set, keep doing it! My nails looked so healthy! There wasn’t too much talking but I understand it’s hard to talk with the mask and while you’re trying to focus. I always appreciate the complimentary message. Will be back every four weeks for sure! (Pictured is my four week old dip powder set versus fresh from today)

My friend and I came here after seeing the high ratings and collectively paid close to $200 for our manicures. My gel manicure was the most haphazard manicure I’ve ever recieved. It was done in a complete rush and turned out SO messy (Mind you we had appointments so not sure what the rush was about). I wanted a simple design of flowers on 4 nails and it took the nail tech 20 mins of trying before he asked someone else to do it. The filing and shaping of each nail is terrible and then they proceeded to charge me an extra $25 for a tiny design on 4 nails. The tech was also very rough and would practically throw my hands away when they were done painting so that I’d put them in the UV nail light. They also charged my friend extra for removing her gel nail polish after initially saying it would be included. When we brought this up with the lady at the front desk - she simply shrugged and couldn’t be bothered. The people who work here need to learn about customer service and etiquette!! Would not recommend this place to anyone as it was a waste of money and terrible experience

This has unfortunately been my worst nail experience ever. I booked for a regular polish pedicure and a dip powder mani. I wanted black nails and they did not have black dip powder. Disappointing, but nobody's fault. So I said I would just like a regular mani with black polish. They offered me gel and said it took the same amount of time, and I told them directly "no. I don't get gel. It damages my nails too much." They then offered to do a mani with a powder base and gel on top, which I also said no to. I told them again I was fine with just regular polish. They tried to insist on gel multiple times but I said no thank you and repeated that it damages my nails too much. They grab a black color in an opaque white bottle with the label turned away from me, so I confirm twice before we begin that it is "just regular black polish." The mani begins, and my nail tech takes out the motorized sander and sand all over each of my nails. I've never had that for a mani before and find it strange. She then takes out the UV curing light for gel nails, so i pick up the polish she has brought out and read the label- gel. At this point I'm confused and frustrated, and i tell her again that I do not want gel. She then gets up and retrieves a black Essie polish and paints over my buffed nails, and I honestly could've done a better job on myself at home. We also could no longer do the design I had requested (a simple white cross on my ring fingers) because she says she does not do designs in regular polish. My pedicure is also sloppy, and the manicure was completely bare bones and rushed. Overall very disappointed with my experience and will not be returning. I spent $50 on something I could have done at home and didn't leave with what I...

Disappointing Experience at QQ Nails

I had a truly disappointing experience at QQ Nails, and I will never be going back.

First and foremost, the customer service was shockingly unprofessional. If you’re going to talk about someone in another language, the least you can do is make sure they don’t understand you. Two of the techs decided to make rude comments in Spanish, completely unaware that I speak the language fluently. That level of disrespect is unacceptable.

Secondly, my friend and I were told on multiple occasions that we could be seated together—only to arrive and find that no effort was made to accommodate us. Had we known they wouldn’t honor this, we would’ve taken our business elsewhere.

As an athlete, I also found the salon’s services to be completely lacking. It seems like QQ Nails is only equipped to handle “cute, dainty” feet, not anyone who actually works out or has rougher skin. They’re just not prepared for the kind of care athletes need.

Finally, the cleanliness was downright alarming. Their “washing” process for tools is far from sterile, and frankly, I’m surprised there haven’t been more reports of infections. It’s unsanitary, and that’s a major red flag for any salon.

Overall, this place is not worth your time, especially if you value respect, proper service, or hygiene. And a special middle finger to the two techs who thought they could talk behind my back—te...

I wasn't overly impressed and I won't be returning.

I came in for a basic manicure a few weeks ago and had used class pass to schedule. Right off the bat, the atmosphere was not overly welcoming or friendly. This wouldn't be the end of the world if the service ended up being great. But it was only OK.

My tech was not warm at all. She barely spoke a word to me. When I smiled and said hello/how are you, she didn't really respond. I'm not expecting the world, but I like a more welcoming environment.

After she filed my nails and applied the clear coat, she asked me if I brought cash for the tip.

I thought this was an inappropriate point at which to ask this question. I did bring cash, but the fact that she asked me right BEFORE she started applying polish was odd. What would have happened if I'd said no? Was she not going to do as good of a job? Perhaps it just crossed her mind at that moment, but it seemed unprofessional to me.

I'm giving three stars because the polish and the filing ended up looking pretty good. The results of the cuticle trimming left a little to be desired, but she was gentle. Overall I was happy with the manicure itself in terms of aesthetics and the handling of my hands/nails.

It was more the social aspect of it all that I wasn't happy with. I wasn't comfortable. If that's not important to you, this could be the...
