This has unfortunately been my worst nail experience ever. I booked for a regular polish pedicure and a dip powder mani. I wanted black nails and they did not have black dip powder. Disappointing, but nobody's fault. So I said I would just like a regular mani with black polish. They offered me gel and said it took the same amount of time, and I told them directly "no. I don't get gel. It damages my nails too much." They then offered to do a mani with a powder base and gel on top, which I also said no to. I told them again I was fine with just regular polish. They tried to insist on gel multiple times but I said no thank you and repeated that it damages my nails too much. They grab a black color in an opaque white bottle with the label turned away from me, so I confirm twice before we begin that it is "just regular black polish." The mani begins, and my nail tech takes out the motorized sander and sand all over each of my nails. I've never had that for a mani before and find it strange. She then takes out the UV curing light for gel nails, so i pick up the polish she has brought out and read the label- gel. At this point I'm confused and frustrated, and i tell her again that I do not want gel. She then gets up and retrieves a black Essie polish and paints over my buffed nails, and I honestly could've done a better job on myself at home. We also could no longer do the design I had requested (a simple white cross on my ring fingers) because she says she does not do designs in regular polish. My pedicure is also sloppy, and the manicure was completely bare bones and rushed. Overall very disappointed with my experience and will not be returning. I spent $50 on something I could have done at home and didn't leave with what I...

I had a truly disappointing experience at QQ Nails, and I will never be going back.
First and foremost, the customer service was shockingly unprofessional. If you’re going to talk about someone in another language, the least you can do is make sure they don’t understand you. Two of the techs decided to make rude comments in Spanish, completely unaware that I speak the language fluently. That level of disrespect is unacceptable.
Secondly, my friend and I were told on multiple occasions that we could be seated together—only to arrive and find that no effort was made to accommodate us. Had we known they wouldn’t honor this, we would’ve taken our business elsewhere.
As an athlete, I also found the salon’s services to be completely lacking. It seems like QQ Nails is only equipped to handle “cute, dainty” feet, not anyone who actually works out or has rougher skin. They’re just not prepared for the kind of care athletes need.
Finally, the cleanliness was downright alarming. Their “washing” process for tools is far from sterile, and frankly, I’m surprised there haven’t been more reports of infections. It’s unsanitary, and that’s a major red flag for any salon.
Overall, this place is not worth your time, especially if you value respect, proper service, or hygiene. And a special middle finger to the two techs who thought they could talk behind my back—te...
Read moreI wasn't overly impressed and I won't be returning.
I came in for a basic manicure a few weeks ago and had used class pass to schedule. Right off the bat, the atmosphere was not overly welcoming or friendly. This wouldn't be the end of the world if the service ended up being great. But it was only OK.
My tech was not warm at all. She barely spoke a word to me. When I smiled and said hello/how are you, she didn't really respond. I'm not expecting the world, but I like a more welcoming environment.
After she filed my nails and applied the clear coat, she asked me if I brought cash for the tip.
I thought this was an inappropriate point at which to ask this question. I did bring cash, but the fact that she asked me right BEFORE she started applying polish was odd. What would have happened if I'd said no? Was she not going to do as good of a job? Perhaps it just crossed her mind at that moment, but it seemed unprofessional to me.
I'm giving three stars because the polish and the filing ended up looking pretty good. The results of the cuticle trimming left a little to be desired, but she was gentle. Overall I was happy with the manicure itself in terms of aesthetics and the handling of my hands/nails.
It was more the social aspect of it all that I wasn't happy with. I wasn't comfortable. If that's not important to you, this could be the...
