Ive been a fan of this store for years . Religiously bring my daughter here for her bday to pick out a piece of jewelry . So on her 16 bday this year ,we stop by, browsing around , having small talk with the employees and same cashier that attended us . We pic out 2 rings even asking for suggestions from the workers Upon trying to pay for the two rings my daughter had selected ā¦ā¦. the cashier charges us for 4 rings ā¦ā¦ we ask why is the bill so high ?and she saids itās for the two rings on the counter and the 2 rings my daughter is wearing. I politely responded Those are HER rings and she made the correction on the register . I guess she ASSumed that my daughter was stealing???. Honestly ā¦., idkkkkk Neverthelessā¦.it was an uncomfortable situation . Idkk if it was a race thing ,,, we are Latino. And cashier was African American ā¦. So idk ⦠I wonāt assume the motivation. Unfortunately, even though the employee assisting us yesterday was friendly, she failed to mention that the store was unable to accept credit cards at the time, so we spent quite a bit of time shopping and trying on items, only to find out at the checkout that they would only accept cash. For a store with a great deal of merchandise over $50, I don't think it's fair to assume that most customers carry around that much cash, and a warning up front would have been much appreciated.

I'm not sure how this store plans to stay in business if they are willing to turn down such...

But some of their cardigans caught my eye (one of the designs had snakes on it and looks really comfy) and I went into the shop. And you know what? They actually have a really nice selection of clothes, accessories, and makeup. I have some tops from them and they have held up well over the past year and half. The material still looks and feels great- like I sometimes wear them hiking! Their accessories and makeup are nice and useful; I got a makeup bag here and it hold all my stuff and is just great for travel. I've also picked up gifts for my friends here and they love them. Overall, I think Mure + Grand is worth checking out if your looking for pieces that will be a staple of your wardrobe. Again, everything I've gotten from here...
