In April I took 5 garments to a dry cleaner in my new neighborhood for cleaning: 2 pairs of dress pants (one also needing an alteration, sweatpants, and 2 hoodies (one matches the sweatpants). I return to pick up my clothes that they said were ready, get home and the alteration hasn't been done so I returned to have it done since I paid for it. Get back home to check everything else out and I notice the crest on one of the hoodies (which is metal) is broken, has pieces hanging down, and the other hoodie has the white flocked cashmere from the inside all over the outside. The 2nd hoodie matches the sweatpants that are fine. I return again with the damaged items showing the broken crest and the matching sweatsuit where one item is fine and the other isn't. The woman behind the counter agreed that the items needed to be fixed and asked for a couple of days to do so. I returned to pick everything up and they did the alteration, basically cut the broken parts off the crest, and the matching hoodie is still damaged. They again asked for more time to fix the hoodie and I leave it again. When I return again to pick up the hoodie it's still damaged and I request some sort of compensation for my item. I was told they needed to speak to the manager and that they'd call me back. No call back, a couple of weeks go by, so I return today to find out how they're going to resolve the issue. They're claiming it must somehow be the garment, even though one item was returned fine. They've offered no compensation for my garment which I now have at home and realize it's also much smaller than it was when I brought it in (in December for $$$), which again points to some error happening while the garment was in their care. I've attempted to call the store back but apparently he's only in Mon - Thurs from 8-10am.... My garment is unwearable and they've actually argued with me to not have to make this right. BEWARE, if you care about your clothes, find another...
Read moreI brought in a pair of $200 suit pants to see if they could repair a 1 cm tear on the front leg. They said yes, the could fix it. Their "fix" was a mess of stitches more than 3 cm in diameter. The pants went from a wearable pair with a somewhat inconspicuous tear to a completely unwearable pair with blatantly obvious, amateurish "repair". I brought the pants back to complain and they offered to take the stitches out or redo it . I explained that the intention of the repair was to make the tear less visible, not more, and that I did not have faith that they could do any better. They have a responsibility as a business to explain to the customer the limits of their abilities. If they did not have the ability to properly fix the tear, they should have been upfront about it. They failed to do that. I asked for a refund based on that and they quickly got defensive and refused. They gave a BS answer that they don't have the ability to do refund and that I would have to report it to the city. Needless to say, there are far better options in New York City than this place. Based on poor treatment of customers, I will never go...
Read moreI used this cleaner for 1 year. Over the year I would constantly lose some items via wash & fold services. The worst was when I had two items dry cleaned. They gave my dry cleaning (which were 2 expensive formal wear items) to some random person. They never got a ticket for the items to release them.
When I came to pickup my dry cleaning they told me I picked up the items. They received no ticket to pick up my items and worst of all, they don’t track anything with credit card receipts so I have no idea where two of my favorite clothing pieces are. I call them constantly trying to get an update on what happened and they refuse to return messages.
Go here if you must but don’t be surprised when they give your stuff to someone else and don’t...
