I went to this shop yesterday and had one of the worst experiences ever. Before booking, I asked if they take touchless payment like Apple Pay, Mastercard, or Visa. They said no, so I politely thanked them and was ready to leave. The owner then stopped me, insisting “we’ll figure it out.” I repeated myself, saying I ONLY had that method of payment, yet he kept pushing me to stay.
He told me to pre-book and pay online, but their website didn’t work with Apple Pay or my saved Visa. Again, the owner brushed it off and said, “we’ll figure it out.” At this point, it was clear he didn’t care about respecting my situation, he just wanted to trap me into being a customer.
After the haircut, I asked again if they really had no machine for credit cards. Instead of a professional answer, the owner told me to just Zelle him. I had already said multiple times I didn’t have that option. He still refused to let me leave. I was stuck in the barbershop for 45 minutes trying to reach my friend at work to send him the money through Zelle. Finally, she replied and paid so I could leave.
The owner never apologized or showed any professionalism. The only decent person was my barber Damir, who apologized multiple times and thanked me for my patience.
This barbershop is a joke. The owner lacks all respect and professionalism. I came from Canada to visit, and this was hands down the worst experience. Do NOT waste...
Read moreEuro Barber Shop is simply the best barber shop experience I've ever had in NYC. All the barbers at Euro Barber Shop are extremely professional and polite and the barbershop is always clean and well kept. Gary (The manager) who happens to cut my hair, is a master at his craft and takes a lot of pride on his work. He will ask you in great detail what your haircut expectations are and answer any questions you may have before touching your hair. Gary and all the other barbers are very experienced and proficient at cutting and styling any type of hair, from caucasian, to black to latin and more. There is always a diverse racial customer base at the barbershop and they all leave very happy with their haircuts and styling. Besides the great service and haircuts, their prices are very affordable considering their location on East 28th Street. I have recommended Gary and the other barbers from Euro Barber Shop to several of my friends and colleagues and have yet to hear a...
Read moreVery disappointed with this shop. The old man who did my hair didn't know what he was doing. He did not listen to my request and did what he thought was best. Then I ask if he can do something different and he said (barley speaks English) he can't do it with my hair. My old barbershop has done this to my hair plenty of times. Then he put gel and mess around with my hair and said "it looks good right?" After that I couldn't take any more of this terrible barber. Then if the hair cut wasn't bad enough, he charged me a Ridiculous amount. I will not recommend this place to anyone, in fact I will tell people who haven't even ask me about a barbershop that this place...
