We had an absolute Blast with Kenny!
It was a perfect way to explore a bit of Central Park without doing all the walking! After spending our first couple of days walking over 9 miles a day, my wife, son and I needed a way to explore without putting more miles on our feet. Pedicabbing (is that a word?) around Central Park was a perfect way to do it!
I set up our tour the night before, knowing that the weather was not looking great. Sure enough, New York got a blanket of snow after midnight Tuesday, April 2nd. But this did not deter Kenny from meeting us and giving us a wonderful tour of the park.
Kenny comes armed with a giant warm blanket for us, and a belt pack speaker so that he can narrate to us while watching the road ahead of him. Making frequent stops, Kenny tells stories and shows pictures from his Five photo flip books(my son had to know how many different albums Kenny had). There are places to get off and check out some of the features of the park (and give Kenny a much needed Rest of the legs), and then you are off again.
There is a difference between getting a pedicab ride and a pedicab tour. New York Pedicab Services uses only licensed Tour Guides for their trips around the park (per the info on their web page), and the difference is clear. Kenny's tour would have been a bargain at twice the price. (Which is what we were preparing to pay for a WALKING tour of the Park before discovering New York Pedicab Services).
Kenny was great, gave a terrific tour, and is a terrific, knowledgeable, ambassador for the city of New York. If you are looking for a way to enjoy Central Park without doing all the walking, definitely give this company and their tour guides a try! They exceeded our...
Read moreI did not use New York Pedicab Services and I truly regret that I did not. I was scammed by NYC PEDİCAB which is not associated with the legitimate business known as New York Pedicab Services. When I realized that I was scammed, I contacted my credit card company who put me in touch with New York Pedicab Services (the legitimate business) The credit card company could not find NYC PEDİCAB so they just gave me the number of the legitimate business. Mr. Ibrahim Donmez, the representative of New York Pedicab Services, was wonderful. He explained that he was not affiliated with NYC PEDİCAB and that I had accepted a ride from someone who was not operating within the Pedicab laws of New York City. Mr. Donmez said that he would try and help me get a refund. Although, I had not used his business and he had no idea who I was, he communicated with me for 2 weeks and assisted me with securing a refund. I urge you to make reservations with New York Pedicab Services or call them before you accept a ride with anyone – do not accept a ride from anyone on a bicycle. Just to be clear New York Pedicab Services is a legitimate business - NYC PEDİCAB scammed me – do not get the...
Read moreWe spent 4 days in NYC to celebrate my parents' milestone anniversary. I booked 2 pedicabs with NY Pedicab Services for a 1 hour Central Park guided tour. We were 3 adults and 2 kids (9 and 13) . As my senior parents have difficulty walking long distances, we made a special arrangement to be picked-up at our hotel in Times Square and dropped-off at the Central Park Zoo. I was able to easily make plans well in advance from home (in Canada), with friendly, prompt and clear communication via email. On the morning of our tour there was a small delay. One of the pedicabs got an unexpected flat tire. Communication, again, was excellent (friendly, prompt, clear) and we were on our way and back on track within just a few minutes. Our guides were Alex and Garth and wow (!) were they phenomenal. They shared cool info about film locations, landmarks, and the history of the park. They also played some great music! Despite on and off rain, we were kept warm and dry with blankets and a canopy. We saw many wonderful things during our NYC stay, but our pedicab ride was certainly a highlight. I would absolutely do this again next time we...
