NYU Tandon claims to value diversity, but its actions tell a completely different story. The school has repeatedly failed to address systemic racism within its programs and faculty. Students of color often report feeling isolated, ignored, and even targeted, yet the administration does nothing but offer empty statements about inclusion. If you’re looking for an institution that actually supports marginalized communities, look elsewhere—NYU Tandon is all talk and no action.
The racism at NYU Tandon isn’t just subtle; it’s blatant and pervasive. From biased grading to dismissive responses when students report discrimination, the school makes it clear that some voices matter more than others. Professors and staff rarely face consequences for discriminatory behavior, leaving students of color to navigate a hostile environment on their own. The school’s so-called "diversity initiatives" feel like nothing more than a PR stunt to cover up its failures. Despite its location in one of the most diverse cities in the world, NYU Tandon has done little to reflect that diversity in its culture or policies. Students of color are routinely overlooked for opportunities, and their concerns are brushed aside. The school’s reputation for innovation means nothing if it can’t even address the basic issue of racial equity. NYU Tandon doesn’t deserve your time, money, or talent—especially if you’re a person of color expecting fairness...
Read morePolytechnic has been rated in the top 10 of the world rankings for income after graduation for the last 5 years. After attending this University, I can see why. The opportunities have been enormous since graduation and I have this school and hardwork to thank. The curriculum is second to none but more importantly, NYU-Poly offers lots of hands on experience. I had the opportunity to work with a dozen different companies that were struggling to make it in this bad economy and apply the tools I learned in class to turn them around. I was even offered a full time position with one of them within one week of working with them. Professor Greenstein and Albano are two of the best professors I have ever had. The social life is what you make of it! This is an ENGINEERING SCHOOL, so of course, you wont have the partying an art or business school may have. However, you are in the middle of the best city on earth! If you cant have fun and have a good social life in New York, its you that is the problem, not the school! Overall, I would recommend NYU-Poly to anybody that wants to better themselves if they dont mind a lot of hard work! I was a U.S. Seabee and I our motto was to work hard and play hard, this is the best place to...
Read moreI want give 0 star. If you are American, this is a great place for you. But if you are an international student, some senior managers and some professors here are extremely racist. They racially discriminate against international students, and they will not be punished in any way. And these professors who discriminate against international students have been teaching here for many years. If you visit the ratemyprofessors website, you will see that individual professors have been labeled as racist (not one or two, almost every comment). This seems to be too far away from NYU headquarters, and it has become an...
