This store broke my years-long affection for Paul Smith. I bought 4 pairs socks over the summer, 3 are fine but this one pair shrank to unwearable size. Check out the photo with my socks next to an actual pair of socks my 6 yo wears... When I bought them they looked like something a grown up with size 10 feet might wear. The sales associate assured me this is normal because they are in fact "cycling socks"! As though I go to Paul Smith to buy cycling apparel 🤣!?!? He did call the manager who was aggressively unhelpful and condescending, blamed me because I wash and dry my socks. He said he doesn't dry his cashmere socks and then just ignored me when I pointed out mine aren't cashmere, just a normal pair of socks. He said he won't replace them, but could send them back for inspection, as though I'm to believe some elder sock guildsman is going do a thorough forensic analysis. Just ridiculous. I'll anticipate the report with his/her findings, of course. I used to tolerate Paul Smith's price/quality mismatch because I liked the style, but I'm done....
Read moreLast week was my first visit to the Paul Smith SoHo shop. As a long time Paul Smith client and , avid cyclist, in Paul Smith gear, the store was a destination trip from our home in Canada. Prior to this I had read the many negative reviews and was, admittedly, apprehensive. Fortunately my experience was the opposite...excellent. At the front entrance we were met by Ali Taghavi who could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. It is a gorgeous store, with a cool design and layout. Ali helped me find a number of fine pieces. My wife and I had a great time with him. Our discussions ranged over many topics. Ali never was pressing or pushy but only offered helpful guidance and support. For lunch Ali recommended a fabulous local restaurant. After which we returned to complete our purchases. We plan to return soon and reconnect with Ali and Paul Smith. Thank you....
Read moreI recently visited the Paul Smith Soho store and had a thoroughly disappointing experience. The staff were incredibly rude and completely ignored customers. They didn't greet or assist anyone, treating us as if we were invisible. Their attitude was extremely condescending, as if they were too good to provide any service.
If you're not dressed in the latest high fashion or adorned with expensive jewelry, they will overlook you from the moment you step in until you leave. It's baffling why this store would employ such unprofessional salespeople. The atmosphere was stifling and oppressive.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Instead, visit a department store where you can find the same brand and styles with better discounts and far superior service. Don't subject yourself to such...
