I have been taking classes with Kevin for over a year, and pottery has been one of the highlights of my life. I look forward to attending class every week. Both Kevin and Rehn are amazing instructors and good people. They are patient in their teaching and caring to get to know their students holistically. They put their students first and are extremely flexible to work around needing to reschedule class. They take you through the whole process, from throwing to trimming to glazing, and teach you about the science behind it all too if you’re curious. The studio is always open for practice time as well, to accelerate improvement. It has been fun learning this new art form and steadily improving over time. It stimulates my brain in ways that work and my other hobbies cannot. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being a student at RNK, and hope others are able to experience the same!

As a relative beginner to ceramics, I was immediately impressed with the amount of close, hands-on instruction that Kevin and Rehn have provided from the very beginning. I've also just signed up for my 6th round of sessions, and I genuinely appreciate the attention and commitment to their students. What I most enjoy is the ability to direct my own learning, as after the introductory classes, I was asked what I wanted to make. The creative direction the pieces take is really up to me, and they do everything to support, instruct, and encourage the vision that I have. I genuinely believe that this space, the instructors and other learners make this experience extremely enjoyable and rewarding.

I've been taking wheel-throwing classes at RNK for over a year now, under the amazing instruction of both Rehn and Kevin. I came here with no wheel-throwing experience, and now am able to make beautiful pieces of varying shapes and sizes with confidence. Both Rehn and Kevin are incredibly patient, kind, and have a wealth of knowledge about the entire process – not only have I learned about the fundamentals of clay, but I've also learned to self-correct my work over time. The classes tend to be quite small, so you'll get a lot of valuable instruction which make the classes very worthwhile. I cannot recommend this studio enough to students of all skill levels.

What makes RNK special is how much the teachers, Rehn and Kevin, love what they do. It shows in how they run their business, how they are as teachers - and their enthusiasm for their students' learning and their successes small and large.

As teachers, they are patient, encouraging, great at explaining and create a really comfortable atmosphere for learning. They keep classes super small so that they can spend time with every student and provide personal attention you need to progress. If you are a beginner, they'll make sure you bring home finished pieces. If you are intermediate or advanced, they work with you to improve your skills so that you can pull off that difficult thing you really wanted to try. And when you succeed, they will nerd out about it and probably go show it to the class next door "Look at this cool...
