Sailing Yacht Ventura — Local services in New York

This is my first review EVER!

I really wanted to shout out just how amazing the crew was! From the ease of booking (almost last minute), having all of our questions answered, and helping us have a perfect and chill wedding day.

We got married on the boat (with the Statue of Liberty as our backdrop) and after we said “I do” they were cheering for us just as loud as our family and friends while also being on the ready to Immediately serve drinks and food.

We honestly could not have been more happy to have selected them to host part 1 of our special day.

For our guests, I had ordered boat anchors bottle openers and gifted a few to the crew and the smile on the crew members face was priceless and extremely sweet.

We HIGHLY recommend them for any party. Everyone was extremely professional and fun. We were treated like their family and friends.

There is one New York experience that draws me back, year after year, and that is sailing on the Yacht Ventura. Its captain, Patrick Harris, is a person whose passion is being at the helm in New York Harbor and making his passengers feel as though they are family. Yes, I mean it when I say "family" because I have known Pat for over 25 years and I began as a passenger, but that lasted about 1 minute (or the time it takes to step from the dock onto the boat!)

He has meticulously restored the Ventura to its 1920s grandeur and is so proud of the vessel, he most resembles a sea captain of a merchant vessel insofar as the Ventura is his true love, his sweetheart. Captain Owen and James are awesome. From coordinating the trip, to the day of sail, all were fantastic. Planning was a breeze and James helped and answered all questions in a timely manner and even added suggestions and tips. Day of our trip, we had great weather and beautiful scenery and an attentive and knowledgeable staff, helped make the trip even better.
