I visited the Sea location in Tribeca during my out-of-town Thanksgiving trip and was excited to see it since I've been a fan of the brand for the past couple of years. Upon arrival, I was assisted by a helpful young lady who guided me through the pieces. Although not particularly cheerful, she was still pleasant to work with. However, I have to say that the rest of the staff was quite underwhelming (especially the small blonde woman). Her, nor anyone else even acknowledge me with a simple hello or goodbye, which left me disappointed. In my experience, independent brands are usually more helpful and engaging, which encourages me to make more purchases, regardless of the price tag. As a small business owner myself, this lackluster interaction really put me off, causing me to lose interest in the brand. Moreover, I was unable to find many sizes in-store, so I ended up purchasing only one item from a sister site. I have been a customer of the label for a few years. I love coming to the boutique, it is a lovely environment to shop, there is always beautiful flowers, calming scent in contrast of the hustle and bustle streets. There is a showroom and studio at the back of the boutique it has that old world of - made to order feeling. I love to support fellow New Yorker and small boutiques. Most of all, whenever I go into the store, Candace, the energetic, fun, trusted and stylish manager who is always on top of the trend -but not following the trends- her knowledge of fashion combine with her creativity made it even more fun to shop at the boutique. She knows the collection very well and is very quick to understand customer’s style ( I have brought many friends and family to the store) everyone always left the store with happy faces. It is my happy place. I am looking forward to see many more beautiful and unique collection in the coming seasons. Also, a big Thanks to Candace for all your help...

Sea New York on Canal Street is my all time favorite clothing store. It cleverly blends fashion, artistry and my love of print and pattern.

Candace is a true treasure. Her remarkable eye and honest opinions have helped me discover many unique pieces that are wardrobe favorites. She encourages me to try on pieces outside my comfort zone, nearly always resulting in a winner I adore working with Candace and hugely admire and appreciate her clever sense of style and thoughtfulness.
