My boyfriend bought me a bag from here as gift and I went into the store to exchange it. The first time I went, there was an event going on and I felt like the attendant kept looking past me when I spoke to her. I’m not too familiar with the brand and wanted to be shown what options I had. I ended up picking a bag because I felt rushed and the attendant bagged it, told me the receipt was in the bag, and shoo’ed me away. My new bag was less expensive and she refunded it instead of offering store credit or offering to help me pick out something else (it was a gift, I wanted to use the remaining credit. I told them it was a gift and handed them a gift receipt). I was unhappy with my pick and went back hoping for a better experience since there wouldn’t be an event. I told the new attendant about my previous experience and she didn’t care, was not apologetic, and was just as unhelpful as the first attendant. I’m honestly considering returning the bag altogether because I felt like I was treated badly since I maybe didn’t look like their average consumer? I wasn’t even greeted. The security man was more attentive than anyone else working there. I’ve never experienced being treated like this in any type of...
Read moreI cannot say enough good things about my experience at the Staud store. I went in somewhat on a whim after seeing a cute bridal beaded set that I was interested in on their website and felt like I hit the jackpot when they had it in stock. Allie was helping me out and made the whole experience feel super special- I felt 0 pressure from her to buy anything, but she was helpful with providing recommendations on sizing and providing accessories to help me visual the whole outfit a bit more. I feel like it’s hard to strike a balance of being either overbearing or not helpful as a sales associate but Allie really nailed it. My mom and I both walked out feeling like we got so lucky that they had the set in my size in the store and that we got to work with Allie! She was the perfect person to have help you when buying something for a special occasion. My whole experience made me want to shop and...
Read moreVisited the store on a weekend and there were maybe 1-2 other customers in the store. Wanted to check out the Ollie bag and some other dresses for an upcoming vacation and browsed through the store for around 20 min looking at various items and trying on bags. The store associates walked past me numerous times but not once did anyone acknowledge my presence or ask if I needed help. However they did greet warmly and offer help to other customers in the store who were not Asian. Felt really disappointed the first time I visited their store in person as I love their pieces. I ended up leaving and not buying anything due to my poor experience…hopefully they improve their cutover service and train their employees on discrimination. Left a bad taste in my mouth and will not be...
