Went as close to our hotel, and we love smaller, dive-type bars and pubs (we live in San Francisco). As soon as we got in there and took two stools at the bar (having checked no one was sitting there) the female bartender "greets" us by saying we can't sit there as someone is there! The guy who was with the group on the next stools confirms the people had left and stools are open. So we sit and get two pints on draft, pay cash, and leave a nice tip but were clearly not welcome. We randomly stumbled into this place from little Italy and ended up liking it soo much we went the very next day and spent pretty much the whole night here. We were treated very good by the regulars, rounds were flying from the left and the right! Joe is take no bs kinda guy with a huge heart and great sense of humor, my kind of people.
