Never in my life have I been more embarrassed and uncomfortable! I went here with a group of friends and one of my friends (who’s birthday was that day) wanted to check out some shoes she’s been eyeing. Anyways we didn’t have any bags with us or anything and alll the workers were making us feel SO uncomfortable. They kept asking us what we were doing there continuously asking if we needed help and the two Spanish looking girls in the back kept getting all in my friends face while she was trying on shoes. It was very weird because I knew if we were a different color they wouldn’t have bothered us. The man with green hair and glasses was probably the worst I wish I got his name but he approached us and asked us if we needed help very nasty and I told him we were waiting for our friend to finish up and he said over the headset to his coworkers that we were waiting for our friends. It was very weird and I felt so uncomfortable. We were treated so poorly it made us not want to buy anything. All of us who went work in retail so we knew that they thought we were stealing, we aren’t dumb but they went about it in the worst possible way. I wish I could of got all their names. Read moreI bought a pair of loafers in October. By April they were falling apart. Completely ripping open which shouldn’t be happening when I’m just walking around my work place. I went back to the store and spoke to an associate who told me that they can exchange my shoes for a new pair, free of charge. I asked if I can get a half size smaller and she said of course. They had my size in stock and she told me she would put them on hold for the following day. The next day, I bring the damaged pair in and I’m now speaking to an associate named Lauren who said I can only exchange for the exact size, and that if this happens again I can’t bring them back. She was extremely rude. Apparently I would have to pay for the shoes to go down half a size. I’ve never heard of being charged to change a size for an even exchange. There should be no reason why I should pay more for shoes that 1- are obviously not made well and are falling apart within a few months and 2- I had already paid for them once. So, on next day 7/17/15, I returned wrong pair of shoes in 41 West 34th St, NY,NY, and they didn’t ship yet, even if they created shipping label 7 ago days. I went to the store on 34th two times since shipping label was created and I called the store 2 times. The answers that I got were: “Your shoes will be ship next day” or “Today is 5th day since you order the shoes, and delivery is from 2-7 day, so you’ll get it in 2 day”. Once I try to chat online on Steve Madden official site, and answer were like:”Oh, you order shoes in the store? We can’t help you. You have to call the store.” O.o I am not person who complain, but this is something insane!!!
