Sugaring NYC - Union Square — Local services in New York

I used to like sugaring, I mainly came here to get my eyebrows done. They used to have a few sugaristas before that left my eyebrows so nice. Then I guess they left & eventually each sugarista I see now when I visit to get my eyebrows done, do not know how to do my eyebrows at all. It looks like I didn’t get my eyebrows done.. there is still hairs underneath, my eyebrows don’t look shaped at all like when I usually get them done correctly. There’s no grand difference, & I am always left with a blood mark from tweezing incorrectly.

I’m a licensed cosmetologist & I do makeup & waxing services at my job. I’m good at waxing other peoples eyebrows, but not my own unfortunately. Which is why I go to others to get them done from time to time. Anyways, I know from experience, the way this place leaves my eyebrows now, is definitely not the way. It’s not cleaned up properly. Unprofessional. They take on appointments with out having the product to complete eyebrow lamination. I commuted took my day to come into the city for them to have me wait 30 min when my appointment was 4:20. As I see other customers being attended before me I approach and they tell me my appointment is 4:40. Then proceed to tell me that they cannot do my eyebrows because they ran out of the product when I see people before hand and after walking out with eyebrows laminated. This was super frustrating as I wasted half of my day to come into the city to get this service. Whoever the manager is needs to get on top of having the products on deck so the appointments can be fulfilled or even call before appointment to advise the client that they don’t have “enough product”. I have gotten 4 Brazilian sessions here and I definitely reccomend sugaring. It hurts but it's not unbearable and the results are worth it, and last pretty well untill the next session or make it easier for management. I have never had a bad experience here but there are some technicians that have more experience or are just more thorough or gentle. I had a different lady every time but 2 of the 4 were awesome and talked me though the session. Its pricey, but when you schedule it ahead you get a discount. I've never gotten waxing done but this is the less painful option from what I've heard. Everyone is pretty professional and it was never awkward in my experiences. Lastly they said they have penalties for rescheduling, canceling, or lateness but I've been a little late and not charged more and rescheduled and it's never been a problem besides the fact that you have to call instead of...
