After a day of walking through New York I met my brother for dinner and he brought me to this lovely bistro. We started with the Calamari and drinks. I had the mushroom risotto and this was the best part. So creamy and flavored just right. The portions are definitely big and well worth the price. I ate most of it (one would after walking close to 14,000 steps and not eating much) and savored every bite. My brother had th Steak Frites, tender cut of steak cooked to perfection. I will definitely recommend to anyone visiting or living in NYC to come visit.

Don’t go here if you want mediocre food masquerading as French food. Nothing authentically French about this place. The tomato fennel soup I had tasted like puréed tomatoes from can with added sugar; the skate, though nicely browned, was over salted, and the mashed potatoes tasted like it came from an instant mix. Then, they almost forgot about my dessert that came as part of the prix fixe. At least the sorbet was edible, if not somewhat tasty. I’d only return there for a drink and dessert, nothing more.

So many cool people here. The tequila negroni was a bit smokey for my taste. Maybe it was mezcal. That makes more sense right? Smokey mezcal. I love thos place though. Very French theme with all the mirrors with the menu written on them. Also the Peach martini is badass. Eat the food here too cuz it's yummy. Sometimes you'll see famous people here, and sometimes you'll just see people who look famous. Enjoy!! Best glass of ice water in town and the toilets are clean and functional.

The atmosphere was the only thing this place had going for it. All I ordered was a medium steak and mashed potatoes. The steak came out almost mooing still. Asked very politely if they could throw it on a little longer brough to back and it was just as raw as before and I had already waited for about 15 mins with no communication with our server. This time when it was brought out it was almost medium rare but the outside of the steak was charcoal and hard. When I complained the server came over and said everything looked fine. At this point the steak was still underdone and looked like it had gone through a paper shredder. From this point in our server didn’t make eye contact with us she didn’t fill up or drinks or even stop over to let me know if my food was almost ready we charged full price after I had waited over 45 mins for the same exact meal my mom had ordered as me but had already finished at this point. Not to mention when we got there we informed our server we had a show we had to get to and ordered straight away. There was barley anyone there and it took almost 45 mins for us to get the initial steak and potatoes. Absolutely horrendous experience?! Our only saving grace was the girl from Columbus who treated us better and actually seemed to care even though she wasn’t our waitress. Not once during this whole experience did the manager even come out and speak with us!!!!...

I ordered delivery. Everything came packaged well. The mussels were delicious and the potion was huge / split in 2 large plastic containers each with plenty of the Provençal sauce.?I didn’t find the second container right away but the first was enough so I will have more tomorrow. I requested they add some bread for dipping in the sauce and they gave 2 big slices of delicious grilled bread. The whole steamed chilled artichoke with aioli garlic sauce was fabulous- just what I was craving. This type of artichoke is very hard to find on menus anymore. The Caesar salad was large, crispy and fresh with plenty of shaved parmigiana cheese and 2 salad dressing containers. I asked for extra dressing. I got an order of thin fries which needed to be reheated and crisped in the oven. They had the skin on and were delicious- came with plenty of ketchup. I will have left overs for lunch tomorrow. It was one of the best take out experiences I have had. I will order other dishes again to sample the menu. I got 10% off my first online order. The food is a bit pricey but a great treat for quality food. I will dine in person as well. I noticed they have a nice...

Good food and ambience but was unfortunately significantly worsened when the manager insisted we leave a larger tip than we were prepared to, telling us that it’s a ‘legal requirement’ in New York rather than a discretionary option. I understand that tipping is common and I do usually tip, but being forced to do so and told it’s a legal requirement is unfair and simply untrue. A disappointing end to what was previously a pleasant dinner.

In response to the restaurant’s comments below: we were certainly pressured to leave a tip and were explicitly told it was a legal requirement in New York. We spent $150 between the two of us on multiple courses. It isn’t like we had one drink and sat there for an hour. We spent a large amount of money at this restaurant, more than what I imagine the average couple might spend. I’m sure the manager saw two young girls with foreign accents and thought they could pressure us in such a manner. Tips are discretionary. We were prepared to leave one. But being lied to and pressured to leave more than we were comfortable leaving, when we’ve already spent such a large amount at the establishment, is...
