Our venue had preferred florists and all we remember was that every other florist felt threatened when they realized we were also talking to Steve and for good reason. From the moment we stepped into his store, he took his time to show us entire books with photos of centerpieces, chuppahs, aisle decor, lighting, and more that his team has done. We had no idea what we wanted, but Steve showed us all the options and more importantly, he was straightforward in communicating and very transparent about pricing. Other vendors were reluctant to even send us breakdowns or spend much time with us. We were also excited that Steve has a store in our neighborhood. He would give his honest recommendations for various items but never pressured us to do extra and even helped us dial it back a bit closer to the day. On the day of the wedding, Steve was there before any of the other vendors and his team set up the place before I even got dressed. Our guests raved about how unique the flowers were - we went with a red theme with a touch of purple dendrobiums - and they were practically fighting to take home the centerpieces. That was the scene we ended the night on and it was such a compliment to Steve. My drunk aunt even tried to take the 50lb tree-sized cherry blossoms at the entrance and had to be stopped by the venue team. Anyone who is planning a wedding knows, decor and floral arrangements can be a daunting task. Pinterest consumes all your free time, you memorize the different types of flowers, you practice arranging flowers from the bodega on the corner and just when you think you know it all, Superior Florist proves to you why they are indeed “Superior!” I wish I could give ten stars. We were exploring the floral district and at this point, we’re exhausted from talking to so many florists who were quoting us ridiculous prices ($125 for a set of three small bud vases?!?!). I had come to the conclusion that I would order wholesale and do it myself. We then walked into Superior around closing time and Stephen stayed with us and helped us choose the perfect flowers. We thought we knew exactly what we wanted, but Stephen told us what we should get in place of what we originally chose to make it better. I was nervous because we didn’t really show him any pictures, but I swear he read my mind and could see my vision. He was very reasonable, blunt, and had a “get it done” attitude! The day of our wedding, two people from Superior arrived. They were awesome! They hung all the garland perfectly (it smelled amazing!) and the flowers were BEAUTIFUL! My review is years late BUT was introduced to Superior Florist Ltd. by a funeral director. Sight unseen, the casket spray was not only super large but exquisitely perfect: It was all white flowers (roses, lilies, baby orchids, etc.). As a uber critical person, "exquisitely perfect" is the highest of compliments. The spray was as fragrant as it was breathtaking. Also, had a spray of the same but more and bigger flowers standing alongside of the casket. This spray was not only SUPER LARGE, but breathtakingly well executed and flawlessly symmetric. It too was exponentially fragrant. I can still smell their perfume all these years later. WHILE IT MAY HAVE BE EXHORBITANT, NOT ONLY WAS IT WORTH IT BUT THE LARGER SPRAY LASTED FOR MORE THAN ONE MONTH. I gazed at it everyday after the casket was laid to rest along with the covering spray in its company, atop the copper casket envelope. Its beauty brought me solace, peace, joy and a smile in my heart. Something sorely needed considering the solemn circumstance. THE BEAUTY, RICHNESS & FRESHNESS OF THIS ARRANGEMENT WAS OUTSTANDING!!!
