Peggy is truly a gift. Found The Shape of Lies on a whim after looking up jewelry stores near me. Gave her a call, talked about what I was looking for, and we found a time for me to come in later the same day. She had an amazing display in the window, and additionally pulled a variety of pieces fitting what I wanted (a gift for my mom's birthday).

Ended up staying a while, chatting, and of course buying something for myself and my boyfriend on top of the gorgeous gifts for mom. Her selection is vast - everything from 1950's deco glass to dainty necklaces like you'd find at any popular jeweler in the city. She is a true delight, an East Village staple, and let's hope she never leaves. I look forward to paying a visit whenever I need a gift - for myself or others....
