I could identify with the Irish experience. From 1820 to 1920, 4 million Irish people passed through the gates. Got a sense of how daunting and exciting it must have been for those who had arrived. Sent chills down my spine to be honest.
The tours themselves around the building were frequent and I thought well presented.
The Statue of liberty was having repairs at the time I went in 2012 so just walked around the outside. The statue itself is made of copper and is green due to oxidation. At the time I did not know that.
