TLDR: Families with kids in strollers do not come here. Anyone else, food is not great but it’s kosher in the area and there’s not a lot else. If you dont mind picnicking in the park, pick up from cafe 11.
Pizza was below average but it’s the only kosher food near the area so you’re kind of stuck if you’re kosher-keeping. There was no flavor to the food, it had clearly been sitting out for a while and it was very expensive for what it was. What gives it a one-star review is the rude and abrasive staff. The man behind the counter was very short with us and we mentioned it to the man at the register , he was in turn very short with us citing that they’re very busy. There were about 10 other people in the store, all whom were seated and eating already. Maybe the had a big order they were prepping? But honestly don’t see that as much of an excuse.
Also he served the pizza using his bare hands which is against nyc regulations for ready to serve foods according to a quick google search.
Then after we had paid and were ready to sit down, the man behind the counter pulled out a sign from underneath the counter that said no strollers. He shouted at us to move it so we started moving it to another spot and then he continued to shout at us to fold it up so we were fed up and asked for our food to be packed to go. He yelled at us that we weren’t complying with regulations and we shouldn’t be so short with him. All we did was respond to his shout with “okay let’s take it to go” because we were tired of having overpaid for pizza just to be shouted at repeatedly. People within the store we’re trying to help us but we just wanted to get out. If coming to the area I would advise bringing your own food or getting something at Cafe 11 and eating as a picnic...
Read moreToday was my companies employee appreciation lunch. We have 200 employees here at HQ and the company usually caters from Sale and Pepe. Seeing that there are more employees keeping Kosher and Halal, the CEO asked me to order food to accommodate those employees. I decided to order from Bravo and if I tell you how embarrassed I was doesn't even begin to describe it. The cost of $16 per person (we ordered for 10 as the minimum) should have covered a decent sized sandwich, and the sides (pickles, cole slaw etc). The sandwiches looked like they were thrown on a platter with no care, almost every sandwiches bread was torn, and to make matter worse, there was only, what I can describe as, less than 1 ounce of meat per sandwich. Imagine seeing this pitiful thing sitting next to a non-kosher version that was 3-4 times the size and looked and smelled 1000 times better. Since the few kosher people were so turned off, and stuck with the salad and fruit that was provided, there was a lot of food left over, I took the time to look at every sandwich and this is what I found, Roast beef - on average 2 (yes 2) slices of meat (just because you ball it up doesn't make it any better), Pastrami - 4-6 slices, Salami - 4!, Turkey was the only 1/2 way decent amount of meat at 1st glance, but when you open the bread you noticed it took up half the room. I wish I could post the photos I took so everyone can see what was delivered. I should have ordered from Mr. Broadway, at least they take pride...
Read moreUnsanitary and disrespectful worker. The older man, David, first yelled on the phone with a customer. Later on yelled out, “Jews are horrible!”; followed by touching unclean objects. Then came to the other counter and took with his bare hands pizza slices to warm up. My wife asked if he can make her a personal salad that did not have tomatoes, to which he replied, “Sweetheart, you can use YouTube to look up how to take out tomatoes from the pre-made salads”. I asked him for an apology for my wife, to which he disrespectfully yelled it across the room. I wasn’t satisfied so I asked if he please write it down. And so, with disgust, David ripped off a piece of paper and wrote “I apologize” with displease and unprofessional attitude, as shown below. If the bills are so important to you that you can’t take a moment to appropriately apologize to your customers for your wrong behavior, then it’s time for you to retire. Save your time and DON’T COME HERE!! Horrible horrible horrible...
