Yuki is an absolute artist. Like many people, I always have reservations with trying someone new. However, my best friend (with AMAZING hair) has been seeing him for ten years - she did not steer me wrong!

I wanted a subtle and bleach-free balayage and a haircut. My hair has been virgin for over ten years and I was pleasantly surprised that Yuki actually advocated to not color my hair because he loved my natural color and I didn’t want anything drastic. I haven’t applied color to my hair in over ten years because of dye-related trauma in my teenage years and I was concerned about damage. The products and process Yuki followed totally restored my faith in the industry.

10 stars! I was previously getting my hair cut at Fox & Jane but wasn’t “in love” with the haircut for the amount of $ I paid. It was okay, but not AMAZING.

I decided to try Tsumiki hair because I always walked past it and I’m so glad I did. I just came out of a haircut with Hiro and couldn’t wait to get home and write this review. My hair looks so good and she styled it so nicely after the cut. Yuki and Hiro are both so professional, talented, and nice!

If you’re looking for the best haircut you’ll ever get and a place with personality, this is it. The space is minimalistic, but warm and inviting. You won’t feel like you’re just another appointment being rushed to fit the next person in.

Normally I’m nervous about getting my hair done because I’m picky, but I can’t wait to come back here as soon as I need a trim. 😄

I had a great experience at Tsumiki. I asked for a scalp treatment with shoulder massage and a blow dry. Hiro was fantastic. She’s a very experienced hair stylist. For the scalp treatment, Hiro applied an oil she prepares with lotus flowers that has a very subtle and soothing fragrance. It’s a very relaxing experience that calms your senses and your scalp and shoulders feel rejuvenated. She styled my hair beautifully too applying excellent hair products as well. Yuki is also very welcoming. Their prices are also excellent and the vintage decor makes this small salon very cozy. I’ll definitely visit them again soon for root touch up...
