Edited from 2 stars to 3 stars upon the owner's email attempt to rectify this situation. She said my esthetician said she suggested day of that the Collagen facial from Classpass was not suitable for my skin type, which is not true at all–she never said that. Her dishonesty is such a turn off. What she did say is "Classpass only lets you choose the collagen facial option," which I replied "oh yeah it seems like it." Collagen facials don't result in pus filled infections either.

I did appreciate the owner's efforts in making this right. She offered a complimentary treatment with another esthetician better suited for my skin's needs. I will not be taking it, but it was a nice gesture and I felt the need to be transparent with our interactions. I wish them the best and hope they can improve upon this experience :)

Original review: I really wanted to like this facial, but unfortunately I won’t return.

The service here is lovely (for the most part), space is clean and calm. Upon arrival you’re greeted with delicious tea. I found this place through Classpass, and had high expectations as someone who always gets facials, especially from those who trained in China and Hong Kong (it’s a very specific technique).

The facial itself ~in the moment was good. Helen was my esthetician. She was friendly and she took her time with my extractions. She tried to tell me to get a package while she did my facial (which I have such an ick for). But at checkout, I did get curious about how their packages work, so she answered but then she really tried to upsell me on the packages telling me if I buy it it’ll be $800 instead of $1000. Saying it multiple times. I told her I didn’t know enough to buy a package since I wanted to see how my skin did the next day, so I booked a lymphatic drainage massage for the next week.

The next day, my face completely broke out which never happens if the esthetician extracts well. She didn’t do the extractions correctly or actually clear out my pores so my face had terrible inflammation. One of my pimples even had puss draining, a mild infection. This left a sour taste in my mouth. I was so glad I didn’t buy a package.

I ended up cancelling my lymphatic drainage massage as well. Had a work trip, but also the facial made me lose trust so I’m not sure I would have enjoyed it anyway.

I wish this was a different outcome and I do wish them the best. They seem like nice ladies. The ambiance and in the moment experience pulled the rating up, but I personally wouldn’t come here if you have acne prone skin or a lot of clogged pores to avoid the aftermath of the extractions...

My skin felt rejuvenated, looking significantly brighter and smoother post-treatment. The products they used smelled amazing and felt luxurious on the skin. I could tell they were of high quality.

What impressed me the most was their dedication to customer satisfaction. They ensured I was comfortable throughout the process and patiently answered all my questions. The aftercare advice was also extremely helpful.
