I came in through a Groupon deal for partial highlights and a haircut with Adi Nujedat.
He told me that he felt I needed a full head of highlights and two different glazes and sold me for an additional $190 dollars in service, to which I happily agreed. I showed him pictures of what I wanted, which was a vibrant, bright multi-dimensional blonde. He told me it was going to turn out even better. I was very excited! However, what I ended up walking out with, didn't look anything like what he and I agreed upon....
I was looking for a bright & beautiful blonde, which I have had done many times before. Since I have a natural, dark, blond base, this is not difficult to achieve. However, Adi gave me a dull, drab color, which did not have any brightness and made my skin look pale. To make matters even worse, he rushed through my haircut, only taking 10 minutes in total.... He then told me, "Your haircut is NOT finished. I'm not done cutting, just give me a minute - I have another client". When he came back, he just started quickly blow drying my hair. I asked him if he was going to finish the haircut? To which he replied, "It's done". He told me how great my hair looked and gave me the mirror to look at the back of my hair. I could easily see that my layers in the back were jagged and unfinished. There was also a huge gap between the one layer, which he cut too short and the rest which was just hanging. From the unfinished highlights to the unfinished haircut, 4 hours was still not enough time for Adi to get the job done. He rushed me out and it was onto his next customer.
When I left, it only got worse....a few of my friends remarked that not only was my hair color off and my hair clearly uncut....but that there was VERY HUGE GAP of missing highlights on one side of my head!!!! I wanted to cry!! I have never had such a bad experience in a salon.
I was so shocked that at a stylist could make such a mistake in NOT putting highlights on the top, side of someone's head, which is so clearly visible! Even worse, he knew he made a mistake and allowed me to walk out of the door without even fixing it and STILL charged me the extra $190 on top of the $89 I had already paid.... Beware: this salon will lure you in and upsell you for more, then not deliver what was promised.

I got a bayalage with dark blue-to-turquoise highlights fading into jet black hair (my natural color is a very dark brown). I have extremely thick wavy (I think 2b-2c) Chinese hair, that is super resistant to bleaching, but very easy to style.
Now my friends are saying I have mermaid hair, and can't stop complimenting me. I definitely felt like it's exactly what I wanted, even though I didn't know it at first. I was looking to do something with my hair, to shake things up, but wasn't sure how exactly it would work, and I'm happy of how it turned out. I think it really takes a special person to be able to make that happen.
My stylist Trenelle, I felt was very good with framing my face and defining the shape of my head with the placement of the bayalage highlights. She has a great attitude which I really appreciated. She didn't rush, and she read me well because I tend to be a quiet person, so I was relieved that she didn't force the chitchatting so much. And I thought she was a great communicator in terms of getting across what she was doing to my hair and why.
Ally did my haircut, blowout and curl-waves. I felt like it was the best blow out I ever got. My long bangs curled really nicely to frame my face, my hair felt really bouncy without the feeling of being overly poofy as my hair tends to do.
Now that it's been a full day since my salon experience, my blowout is still really awesome and I only wish I could afford blowouts regularly one day.
Everyone at the salon, you can tell by their technique - the way they hold their scissors, or handle the brush, or shape the aluminum foil, has a mastery of what they are doing, whether it's highlights or a cut or...
Read moreI made an appointment for Keratin Treatment here! I had a Groupon coupon which was my Christmas gift from my husband I I decided to get the treatment right before my trip to out of the country for a wedding! When I was making an appointment through email I mentioned that I really wanted to do the treatment on Jan 12th or Saturday 13th. They told me they don't do keratin on weekends! I can remember it was December 28th that they booked me for Jan 12th (Friday) and they asked me to give them voucher number which I never feel comfortable about but as I really wanted to keep the appointment I emailed them the number and my phone number also. Unfortunately 2 days before the day they emailed me saying they have to reschedule cause they wanted to do some adjustment in their private Keratin room for the ventilation system! They offered me a free blowout and told me they can't do my treatment before January 29th! Well that would be too late for me and as they cancelled my appointment last minute I had to go somewhere else and it almost made me cry to find somewhere else and make an appointment for the earliest day! As they had my voucher number getting a refund also was a pain and time consuming! Groupon gave me credit which I was not happy about and I had to follow up with them in order to get a refund! Not easy but I did it! Keep in mind it was couple days before my trip and I had a lot to do! Now I should say I don't know their work! They may be awesome! I don't care! All I care about it being respected! They wasted my time and made me stressed out and I will never ever trust them and I don't suggest them to anybody! Also I know how to do free blowout on my own! All I wanted was my keratin treatment! Thankfully I did it somewhere else on...
