**UPDATE
Since the owner would like to lie and say that I ādemandedā things, Iāll choose to make an update for future patronsā¦
I asked the price at a place Iāve never been, which I believe is a pretty standard ask.
Spinning the events to make it seem as though I was rude when in fact, the owner was rude to me says a lot about the lack of integrity of this place.
Even after the owner shouted at me, I kept my composure, which I shouldnāt have to but I know what the optics wouldāve been.
Why did I not have the same issue down the block at Yara (reviewed and gave 5 stars) or K&F Nail Salon (5- stars) which are within a block radius?
I didnāt ādemandā anything. I asked the male technician to wear the gloves I brought, which fit him just fine because they are an XL. The āownerā wanted nothing to do with me so why would I speak to her when the staff and I spoke just fine?
There was no issue/complaint from him nor myself until you intervened, without explaining anything. I had no preference for who did my services because it was my first time.
The exchange between the staff and I courteous and did the best they could with your confusing directions.
Immigrants can be racist FYIā¦including that in your response is, telling.
I understand wanting to defend your business if the customer is wrong, but I wasnāt and youāve added lying ON TOP OF rudeness.
Iām literally shaking. I have never had an experience like this.
I walked in asking for a mani/pedi and was told to be seated. In the span of 5 minutes there were 3 different workers who were supposed to start my pedicure. The first one examined my toes like I was an alien and then a gentleman came and said he would be doing my nails, I gave him gloves I brought because I have a severe LATEX ALLERGY. I even brought my own nail polish.
Thereās ANOTHER conversation and another person is asked to do my nails. The next person is now handling my gloves with latex gloves and Iām now trying to explain to her but she was unable to understand me - which I wasnāt upset about AT ALL.
The owner caught an attitude and huffed and puffed like my feet needed some surgical attention and there was another conversation. At this point is said ānever mind. I can goā and she says āleaveā
She couldāve easily explained what was happening as four different people are going back and forth in conversation like I only have two toes and no nails.
Could today been a one off? Maybe but I chose to leave she was so rude. Iām not a princess or a person who causes issues. I just needed a mani/pedi bc the place I go to down the block shut down.
Id like to think race didnāt play a part butā¦I seriously doubt she would have spoken to the other women there like that and been as...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went in on the Fourth of July for a pedicure/manicure since the usual salon I go to in the neighborhood was closed. I immediately was happy with the salon & offering me water! I got my pedicure which I was happy with- but then came my manicure. I asked for a simple French manicure & the woman doing my manicure seemed to keep messing up, she had to redo one of my nails 4 times. It was taking a bit longer than I expected- I understand she wants it to be perfect, but then she filed my nail too much & cut me. It burned & started bleeding. I was in quite some pain. At that point, I just wanted the manicure to be over & I didnāt care about how even it looked. She kept filling! I had no trust in her & was really upset. I told her to stop. Itās now a couple days later, & my finger still hurts & is swollen. When I went to check out- I was offered nothing at a discounted price for cutting me. Iām very disappointed as I was starting to like this salon better than my previous one I had been loyal to for years. My pedicure was great, but Iām highly disappointed in my manicure & the service I received after I was cut. I was also never shown how much my pedicure & manicure was, & after paying over $100 with tip only to be cut & left with a nail infection, I donāt think unfortunately I will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was my first visiting this nail salon, and let me be honest, it will be the last. This place is awful. The staff is at best apathetic and at worst shady towards you. The lady who did my nails actively hurt me, gave me a bruise, and then said, and I quote āitās your fault youāre not giving me enoughā. What is that supposed to mean I was literally just sitting there quietly. They also wrecked my nails. They were so thick and ugly and horrible. I think they took advantage of the fact that it was my first time getting Gel X nails and didnāt know how a good professional manicure is supposed to look. I had to get them fixed later because of how tacky they looked. Finally, they took a photo of the results for their Instagram/website, and when they did so they put a filter that whitened my skin. I have brown skin and they whitened it so much so that it would ālook prettyā. I paid too much money for such a bad experience and results. I feel scammed. I would never come back here again and if you have any self respect I donāt recommend...
