Secco — Restaurant in Oceanside

Slow kitchen and bar service We were very patient and we waited an hour for our meal 30 minutes for our drinks we did not complain. High prices chincy portions. I ordered a brisket sandwich it had a very small portion of meat ( meat was dry and abused) barely covering the bread, you would have many bites without anything but bread and cheese... I sent send it back, The Staff said the chef was strong willed and wouldn't send things back cause he doesn't want to be taken advantage of... well I ordered this sandwich and I was taken advantage of...sad state of affairs. Any self respecting chef knows a sandwich gets 6 to 8 oz during lunch and 8 to 9 oz during dinner minimum. The waitress said she could add another portion to my sandwich but she would charge me for another portion.(WHAT?!!) I was already paying $17 for a very tiny amount of meat... Right thing to do here was... The chef to say that looks kind of small,let me add some more meat on here wrong thing to do is dig your heels in and act like a 60 year old man and his family came in off the coast to rip you off ....really? Well that's 60 year old man was an ex chef and worked many years in the restaurant business. And knows wrong when he sees it. For a chap who thinks hes so awesome that he can't be questiand the food that my friends ate was just that food mediocre nothing to write home about.... No one's trying to win any...

Been in here twice.. first time poor services.. no one was really in here and services sucked.. came back again to give it another try. Bartender had lotion on her hands and open both our drinks,which in return tasted and smelled like her lotion. Waited to ask for a glass since the can tasted and smelled like lotion. Oh wait the bartender was outside hanging out talking. Had to get up from the Oh so busy bar (not) and interrupt a conversation to ask for a glass. Oh did I say we stopped to use the bathroom really only , but thought it would be right to order a drink first! Next time I'll pee in the alley. Now there is nuts flying... Sorry we will not be back!!!!! Now I now for sure why this place is always empty when we stopped by over the past three years! Maybe this all is great with the locals and regulars, but when you have a very highly busy vacation location it's not good for the business. Sorry just don't like lotion with my drink or nuts...

The atmosphere was great, place was very clean and they had good music playing. This place is dog friendly in case you’re wondering we saw several dogs there.

It took us a while to get the attention of the bartender. She was eating in front of customers, older gentleman who Looked like her boss got her attention and sent her our way. The food is tossed inside of a conventional oven and then served. Food was okay . The Smashburger is a small size Me and my partner ended up going to craft Coast for the rest of our meal. Prices for drinks are great. We would come back again just for Drinks...
