9th Muse Academy of Art — Local services in Ogden

My 9 year-old daughter loves her art classes at Ninth Muse. She hadn't found any activity or sport that clicked with her until her art classes. She is generally a very shy kid, but I can see she is relaxed and engaged when she is in Miss Sarah's class. I'm glad we found Ninth Muse, and I'm so happy there are art classes for children here in Ogden. My daughter's skills have grown so much in the few classes she's had so far and I look forward to what she will accomplish.

There is a monthly tuition fee that you pay online (due by the 20th for the following month). There is an auto-pay option as well. You don't need to bring anything to the first class, but there is paperwork to fill out. After the first class, you'll purchase the supplies the student will need (separate from tuition). There are varying skill levels in the class, but students are instructed at their individual skill level. The art is displayed at the end of class and each student shares their "success" from class that day. The instructor communicates well and responds quite promptly to questions and phone calls.

I finally found art classes for my daughter in Ogden!!! Today was her first class (1.5 hours class). We had her in another art class but it was 45 mins and they cancelled it because there weren't enough students. It was taught by a high schooler.

The teacher's method is genius and she recognizes everyone's art work at the end of the class. She truly loves the children and is wonderful with them. My daughter is progressing so fast and tells me she never wants to stop taking a class here.

Another bonus is that it's at the Monarch which means there's art everywhere. Talk about inspiration! All kinds of styles from fine art to photography, letterpress and stained glass. There's something about being surrounded by art when you're learning that makes it all bigger and more expansive.
