Usually I adore outdoor and sports stores. So many great things to look at and discover. Well not this one. I received a gift that had been purchases here and it was an item that I didn't need considering I already had two other of the same item. So I didn't get a gift receipt which is all right you know go to take it back and exchange it I wanted to get another thing from the store I wasn't asking for cash back. When I got there I already knew the retail price for the item, And what they were selling it for at that time. I had looked it up online. So I go to the customer service wait in line and I get up there and show him my item and tell him I don't have a receipt or a gift receipt but it was a gift it still is in the packaging. Nothing had been Disturbed with the item still had the tag everything. They were currently selling this item for $79. He brings it up on the cash register looks it up and says well we can give you $27. I was shocked. I asked why that was if they were selling it currently for $79. He said because we can only return things and give you credit for the lowest sale price that has ever been sold for it in the whole time that we've ever had it. What a ridiculous freaking procedure. Read moreI had a really good experience at Big 5 Sporting Goods when I came in to pick up a new pair of shoes. The staff was friendly, available when I had questions, and gave me space to browse without being pushy, which I really appreciated. The store itself was well-stocked, clean, and easy to navigate. Everything inside felt organized and professional, and I was able to find what I needed quickly. Overall, shopping here was smooth and enjoyable.
The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the outside of the building. The interior of the store looks great and feels very up to date, but the exterior doesn’t reflect that same level of care. It looks a little tired and dated, and honestly, it doesn’t do the store justice. Corporate really should consider investing in a refresh of the outside—it would make a huge difference in attracting new customers and making the store as inviting from the outside as it already feels on the inside. Read moreI looked up the hours it says closes at 8pm today. We get there at 6:47 pm the employee follows me around and stands 1 foot away from me the entire time. I went to grab knee pads in the lower level. And when I met with my boyfriend who was on the 3rd level he continued to only follow me. As I was walking to the cashier I was going to buy gloves but he was so inappropriately close to me I just bought knee pads and left. He lost on a larger sale and my boyfriend even thought the employee was inappropriately standing too close and thought it was odd he was only following me. I'm half Hispanic half Native American. My boyfriend is white. This is will be the last time I step foot in this location. If they need to update the hours to state they close at 7pm than I understand.
