Tonight finally decided to give out back a second chance at dining in ..well it started great atmosphere was ok and when we sat at the table the waitress was pleasant enough and was quick with refills and overall did ok until!! The main courses finally came out I ordered the ribeye and salad and loaded potatoes..son ordered there pasta with chicken and shrimp and friends ordered steak and some new chicken dish ...anyways the ribeye looked like it was cooked by boiling water and the seasoning on it was so strong I could barely eat it .potato was good the steaks my friends got where there fillet minion well the top and bottoms were black they burnt the spices they used I mean black ..and now the main reasons I say never again the pasta dinner my son got was so loaded down with spices and heat to the point I tried it and it was to much no way ..so I told my waiter they went ext heavy on the seasoning and spices like it's so strong can't eat it .. replied well we heavy handed here so next time just say light or no seasoning..um excuse me ..well my sone tried to stomach what he could boy was hungry two shrimp and 4 bites later I can't dad my stomach is hurting it was so strong that it made him lose his dinner everywhere well quite frankly they disserve that but the manager ignored us just threw some towels at us and a box and nose in air walked off waitress never came back to the table or say anything else to use ...so lesson learned ..never will I recommend outback in Orem UT and never again will we be eating. There agin. So please make sure if you have little ones to remember the seasoning and heat .p.s all my kids like hot food and peppers but this was so extream this happened so watch for there...
Read moreWe have been to this Outback 6 or 7 times now, and sadly, I'm pretty sure last night's visit will be out last. Every time we have gone, it is so uncomfortably cold that it makes it hard to enjoy eating there. Last time we asked them why it was so cold in there, and the waitress told us they like to keep it cool so that when they have their rush hours it doesn't get too warm. It made some sense, so we thought we would give it another try. Last night's visit was a Saturday night, about 7pm, which is what I would think is during their "rush hours". We had a party of 8, and every single person in our group complained about how uncomfortably cold it was. You could feel cold air blowing from their vents, and even the men in our group were chilly enough that they kept their jackets on all through dinner. Sadly the food is hit or miss. It's either great, or horrible. They can't seem to get the steaks cooked correctly. For our previous visit we ordered medium-rare, and it came out extremely rare. This time we decided to just order our steaks medium to see if that would fix it, but they came out almost well done and my steak had several charred spots on it. Then a couple of our coconut shrimp had obviously been left in the fryer too long, were a very dark brown, and had an almost burnt flavor to them. We really wanted to like this place, their sides are delicious, bread is tasty, and when/if they get the steaks cooked right, they are great, but it's just not worth taking the chance that we are going to pay $80 for a meal we aren't happy with while freezing...
Read moreWe went for dinner. We got on the list for 8pm at noon. For two people.. We had tried several times later in the day and not been able to get a table before 10 pm, which is to late for us. So plan on a long wait or get on their list early in the day. We arrived at about 7:50 and our table was ready at about 8:10. The staff was nice. We ordered the blooming onion for our appetizer. The onion part was good but whatever that sauce is was nasty. My Husband ordered the bone in ribeye. His two sides were a wedge salad and mashed potatoes. He really liked the wedge salad, blue cheese crumbles and a sweet vinegrette. The mashed potatoes were ok. His steak was cooked to order and it was tasty. I ordered a filet mignon. My sides were a house salad and fries. The salad was good but I didn't even try the fries. The looked soggy. My steak was a little under cooked. I like my steaks medium well and it was more on the rare side. It also hadn't rested at all as my plate was covered in blood. Also the steak was so over seasoned that I couldn't even taste the meat. I asked for some A1, before I tasted the steak, which our waiter never brought and that ended up being ok since the steak was already over seasoned. Otherwise our waiter was really good. Nothing exciting, nothing super special. We'd go back if it were a company party or something, maybe. Overall it was just kind of okay. We paid $85, left a $20 tip. Not really...
