Dishonest sales practices. Horrible customer service. I was shopping for a dress for a special occasion when I was "latched" onto by a salesperson. No was not a word she was willing to accept and I finally gave in and tried on a dress. It was an ok dress but way more money then I wanted to spend on something I was going to wear once. I told the saleslady that, and I thought her response was odd when she said " call me and I will buy it from you after the event". This was on a Saturday. On Tuesday I was home from my trip and decided to look at Dillard's online for another dress. Imagine my shock when the dress I had JUST paid $349 for was listed on Dillard's as final clearance at $122. I have never shopped at Dillard's before as we don't have them where I live. I called the 800 number for Dillard's to discuss this and I was told "we don't price match". With your own store? That made no sense. I had just been robbed of $220 by their Las Vegas store. So, I decided to call the Las Vegas store and was sure they would rectify things. I spoke to a manager, who also explained to me that they also "do not price match and they discount items every Monday so it was too bad for me". I was completely shocked that this is how Dillard's treats their customers. I was also told that I could NOT do a return at the store and then expect to turn around buy it at the discounted price, as that would take them several days to put it back on the floor. So buyer beware. This is a store who seems to be preying on the tourists and they have no qualms about ripping you off. So I returned the Dress and the accessories I bought along with it. Rather then make some money by honoring the sales price the store...
Read moreI went there today around 2 pm. The store was empty in cosmetics . The man who worked in fragrance asked me if I needed help. I said I was looking for Lancôme Midnight Rose and would like to smell it, somebody told me it smells nice . He said they don’t have it. I asked him “ are you sure? Then other lady fro m Origins department suggested him to check . so he went and found it small and big size. I asked how much they cost. He started moving quickly to other register and said” sorry, I am by myself here’ I was confused cause I didn’t see any other customers around who want anything at that moment and I was potential customer who want to know about the perfumes… okey…, i fallow him. Then I asked if I can smell it . He said” sorry, we don’t have any tester because people stealing them and I am not going to open it because actually when someone really want to buy it and we wont have it” That was super rude, unprofessional and put customers in thief category. I was honestly shocked how rude and unprofessional he was. If they keep employees like this one good luck to Dillards really will be bad for them especially nowadays when people think twice before buying luxury things. I would understand if he refused to open it in polite manners but he was just straight rude for no reason. Kind of attitude “buy it or goodbye” No sale for you man with with the purple manicure, sorry didn’t see...
Read moreUnfortunately for me, the price and value tradeoff kicked in so I didn't purchase anything.
However, I was welcomed into this store from the seasoned sales associates who were readily available and offered assistance and the ability to unlock a fitting room if I needed.
Dillard's is a more "southern" US department store (they started in Arkansas) so the presentation can feel a bit different than a more designer focused store like this mall's Saks 5th Avenue or Nordstrom, but you'll find high quality name brands and house branded apparel and shoes alongside department store cosmetics counters and a small home goods section upstairs.
If you've seen one Dillard's you've kind of seen them all but ones like this are an "A" grade versus some smaller or older malls that have "B" stores.
Pricing at Dillard's is very traditional like Nordstrom with seasonal sale events but otherwise at everyday prices. They do have some clearance items in departments but selection is small.
The older stores I mentioned above at "B" grade are often transformed into clearance centers which are more like off-price stores like TJMaxx. One is in Las Vegas at...
