Super disappointed and bummed out with my experience here, I thought Men's Warehouse was THE place to get a suit.
Walked in not knowing anything about suits, looking to get a suit for my wedding in October. I figured the people here would be happy to educate me and help me pick a suit I'm proud to be photographed in.
Right off the bat, I was greeted, but immediately the kid helping me lumped myself and another customer in together, going back and forth between us asking "What color?" to myself and him simultaneously. He kept having us try on the same one jacket between the two of us.
I tried on two pairs of pants and two jackets, the second jacket looked better, but I didn't like the shoulders and explained that to the employee when the tailor arrived. Suppose it's my fault for being in a suit store and not knowing the jacket he handed me had shoulder pads. I hate shoulder pads. I'm not a business woman from the 1980's. I have very broad shoulders already, and this makes me look absurd.
I asked about the vest and tie I wanted in a specific color, he just kept telling me "we might have them online", so I asked if he would check for me. Apparently, he meant for me to just go look for myself lol.
Immediately after trying on the second jacket (which is the first jacket that actually fit), he had the tailor come over and mark them up for alterations, and he kept asking me "Are you ready to go up front (to pay)?" It started to feel like he was just ready to make get a commission or something?
I felt super rushed, as he was trying to run back and forth and help two of us customers at once. Walked out literally 30 minutes later not only NOT knowing more about suits, but feeling like an idiot for not knowing that what I didn't like about the jacket was the shoulder pads.
I'm out hundreds of dollars for a jacket I can't stand to look at, and now have to find another company a month and a half before the wedding to hopefully find a jacket I actually like.
I was told nothing could be done about it when I went with my fiancé to pick up the jacket, so I didn't say any more about it. I knew I would get too mad if I started to talk about my experience in-person.
Called several other tailors to see if they could remove them, but it apparently can't be done without ruining the shoulders and arms.
My perspective on Men's Warehouse has changed drastically after this experience. I guess what I'm saying is...I do NOT like...
Read moreCame in last second for a suit for a wedding that was taking place in less than 24hrs. Keep in mind, although i work in a very well paying aerospace position, i came in wearing jeans and a polo after a long days work, not very impressive looking. Nonetheless, i was treated like an CEO of a fortune 100 company. These guys are honestly the best in town! So helpful, so polite and nice. They pieced together a nice suit "on a budget, my suit days are over, yet, they had their tailor fit it up while I waited. On top of that, they went out of their way to look up some stuff and find one of the pieces of my suit was on clearance. Saved me a ton!!! I was so impressed I went back on the same night to pick up some shoes I liked and a tie. Again, super helpful and found me a perfect tie, the manager said he saw it earlier and thought it would be perfect for rhe suit so he set it aside, not even knowing I was coming back. I used to exclusively shop this place a decade ago but have since been out of the "suits" so it has been a minute. This one trip reminded me of why I will always be brand loyal to them. Their quality is very good, their customer service is second to none!
Random note, I am 6'6" 350lbs and wear a 13 wide shoe, not an easy fit, especially for a same day- walk away purchase. They literally had me fitted in a coat, pants tailored, shoes, and a nice tie for less than the average Costco trip! I wish I could tell you the name of them all but it was literally everyone in the store that helped me, so impressed!!! I may not be sporting suits anymore but I know I will be going back. Little thing I also found out, if you buy anything they tailor, they will press it for you for free, anytime. Literally some dude brought in a load of shirts and pants to be pressed out. IT IS FREE? Forever. That's just badass.
If you read this review this far, wow! But if you are on the fence, just do it. Go in, see what they have, be honest with your budget, and see how much they will get you...
Read moreOne star is being really generous. My fiance called on the phone to see if they would be able to do the alterations I wanted on the suit. They said they can do anything we want and it's walk in first come first serve. She told them what I wanted done the man said to come down we can do it. I went in with my fiance, we walk in with my suit and are waiting for more then 10 minnuts. People are standing around and the checkout wasnt that busy, then they first assume I am returning it. Then I change in the changing room. My fiance is hearing the employees making fun of us. Then I come out. I'm waiting for another 10 minutes waiting because the employee walked away talking to another employee. Comes back, oh your ready. Then he's making fun of us like what king of wedding is this. Thats wierd, gets someone who does the alterations, it was a lady. She said what I'd like done. She says oh I can't do that. I've never done that before. She says come back next week someone else would be able to do it for sure. He does the kind of alterations I wanted. I get undressed and while I'm undressing, my fiance hears the employees making fun of us. It wasn't worth going to jail for what really rude things they were saying. They said come back next week. But after that bull. We're not comming back and telling everyone I know not to come here after that. No way. So unprofessional. I will be reporting to everyone I know and everywhere I can. Mabe even the news. No I will be reporting it. I...
