1 JUN 2024 - Very unprofessional. When I arrived I asked for a 60 minute deep tissue massage as my muscles were sore from working out. The lady at the front desk took me to the room and said to get undressed. The massage table did not have a bottom sheet or a top cover sheet, only a paper cloth bottom and a basic bath towel. I undressed but left my small boxer briefs on under the towel. When she walked back in she lifted the towel and said "no, you take off" and proceeded to pull off my briefs exposing my backside before completely lifting and readjusting the towel. During the massage she pushed the towel down and kept my backside exposed almost the entire time and her hand placement was very inappropriate for a licensed massage Therapist, which i do not believe she was ever professionally tranied and certified. The massage itself was all over the place, lots of knuckels and elbows. The phone rang multiple times to which she would stop, leave the room to answer it and comes back into the room. When it finally ended and went to pay, the massage was $60 and the tax was $4. I do not tip on tax. I left a 10% tip which for the unprofessional/inappropriate massage was extremely generous. After I signed the slip she grabbed it and said "What is this? Is this $6?" I looked back at her and said yes it's $6, is that a problem, to which she replied $6 tip?. I again said is there a problem? She finally said no, no problem. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT EVER AGAIN. I do not believe they are trained and licensed massage therapists. They are very inappropriate in their massage practices and the covering of clients and placement of their hands. I have never had such a horrible and invasive massage experience in my life. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. 2 AUG 2024 - The spa owner just replied to my review two months after I wrote it trying to discredit my experience saying they have no records of my visit. Essentially saying that I am being dishonest about my experience. Attached is my credit card receipt that shows the charge to Anna Spa in Philadelphia on the 1st of June, 2024. DO NOT GO HERE. Anna Spa conducts unsavory practices in both their massage services and now the way they attempt to discredit customers. Update: Apparently the spa removed their reply to my original post so I've posted the screen shot as well as my receipt.

I used to come here often and always had good experiences, but the new management is a completely different story. I asked for a simple 30-minute foot massage, and instead they tried to pressure me into other services. When I declined and insisted on just the foot massage, they harassed me and refused to let me leave. Shockingly, two staff members physically blocked me, grabbed my arms, and tried to force me to stay. I had to fight my way out while shouting for them to let me go. This was terrifying and unacceptable. No one should ever have to experience this. I will never return, and I strongly warn others to stay away. The picture is from the woman’s nails trying to grab my hand as I was refusing.

This is hands down the best massage spa I've been to in Philadelphia. The environment was clean, relaxing, and welcoming. I booked a session with Tom, and he was absolutely amazing — professional, attentive, and highly skilled. He was able to locate and relieve the exact pressure points that had been bothering me for weeks. I left feeling refreshed, loose, and totally recharged. If you're looking for quality bodywork in Philly, Anna Spa is a hidden gem you shouldn't miss. I’ll definitely be coming back!

After walking a bit through the city, Was heading to Bridget Foys and saw this spot on the way. Said new management so thought I’d get a quick massage as my calf’s and back was stiff. A man first approached and I told him I preferred female masseuse (thinking like George Constanza 😃). A nice middle age Chinese masseuse came by and her demeanor was pleasant. She spoke decent English. The massage was absolutely wonderful. I decided to extend to an hour instead of 30 minutes. She did a dry massage first followed by a cream based massage. I told her to focus on lower back, calf, and hamstrings which she did. At the end she stretched me and finished with a nice scalp massage. I would highly recommend this spot for a nice therapeutic massage. It is not an upscale spa and rooms are sort of semi private as there are no doors but only curtains, but for a reasonably priced massage this spot is...

Me and my boyfriend went here. We booked a couples massages. Although the massage was good, there were tons of red flags. First, instead of doing the both of us together they had my boyfriend waiting for 15 minutes. Second, the curtain was not closed all the way and they kept stopping during the massage. The lady even got on her phone during the massage and spoke loudly. There were people walking in and out of the room, it was just uncomfortable. When it came time to pay the lady told us that they did not take card, which was weird because there are tons of sign in there that says other wise. They told us to ā€œfind an ATMā€ and that they can’t take any other form of payment. Overall this establishment is unprofessional and we will not be...
