I'm so glad Google let's us review places. That way everyone can see how unprofessional and heartless the people at this court are. I got an HOV ticket when I wasn't in the HOV lane in the first place I was in the lane next to the HOV lane. Highway patrol pulled me over as I was getting off and I couldn't believe he accused me of being in the HOV lane. So I was going to fight this and my court date was the end of November 2017. As luck would have it I ended up breaking my ankle that resulted in surgery. I wasn't able to drive or walk for 3 months and I was struggling to find a ride. I kept calling and calling this place to let them know I couldn't come to the court date due to my injury. The first lady I spoke to told me to ride the bus and hung up. The second call was a guy and he was nice enough to tell me what to do. I called again letting them know I couldn't print the papers they needed or take them I had no one to help me. I even asked if I could email them instead. I spoke to the same lady from the first call and she was so rude and cold she told me that I had to come in and drop them off and that if I had a wheelchair I could do it. Time went by and I got a boot on and got a wheelchair so I could do just that and give that lady a piece of my mind. When I went down there in my wheelchair with a boot on I spoke to the nice gentleman from one of the phone calls. He got the rude lady for me and it was the lady with glasses. I will never forget her if I saw her again. She stood there arguing with me and I requested to speak to the judge. When I got to see the judge the judge said that she thought it was urgent to see me because of my condition and I told her everything. That judge said I could've still came down to the court hearing aftery surgery and I went off on her. They were insensitive to the fact that I just had surgery the same month of my court date. I was in the hospital for a week. The 2 weeks after I was in pain and out of it from the meds I was given. How are you going to tell someone they can go somewhere when they're immobile and on meds that make you sleepy? Her and the lady with glasses thought it was funny they thought the whole thing was a joke. The only thing the judge did was lower my payment. I had to pay for something I did not do plus I got a good violation. The only thing that really bothered me is how disgusting that lady with the glasses treated me. I will never forget how I was treated...
Read moreThe gentleman that works behind the counter for the Downtown Justice by the name of Jeff is the most patient and helpful person I have ever have the pleasure of meeting working at a courthouse. He was nice enough to take me aside to a separate window and explain to me without numerous interruptions, exactly how fill out the forms I need to fill and have filed. He went obove and beyond his job duties to help me. I hope he is Recognized as a top employee at the courthouse because he deserves it and a lot more for his patience and ability to take the time out of his busy help me. Jeff gave me hope in a very confusing time of my life. I still was not able to be productive in handling what I needed to handle, because the Justice of the Peace that was handling the situation I believe favored the person that I was filing against, and I believe he favored that him because every time that person has a court case he goes in front of the same Justice of the Peace So they pretty much know each other on a personal basis, most likely have lunch together, share Christmas cards during the Christmas season and enjoy cases that they've won together. In the future I will be proceeding to let this particular Justice of the Peace see at how wrong he was in making the Judgment that he made publicly so he can publicly feel the embarrassment shame and basically gas lighted the entire...
Read moreCalled the court this morning in distress - I couldn't get down there today as it is nearly 80 miles round trip and I am unable to drive at the moment due to health issues. I asked the person who answered if I could access a copy of my ticket via fax, email, etc, so I could do Defensive Driving School. The person that answered the phone was rude, condescending and impatient...leaving me bewildered and in a hopeless predicament. I thought about it for a minute and decided to call back to see if I could have one of my employees go down to pick up a copy of the ticket and was greeted by a person named Jean Celian - who displayed an unmistakable juxtaposition with regard to attitude and assistance. Jean went over and above in a profound way, and was both professional and courteous - and exhibited the kind of character one would expect coming from one with such an esteemed position as a Senior Judicial Clerk of the El Centro Justice Court.
Good job, Jean. You truly made my...
