An amazing hidden gem right in Portland's Old Port! I can't believe how many times we walked by but never noticed it! We happened upon it again this weekend and something stirred us to check it out. Needless to say we were very impressed with our experience and can't wait to visit again. We were immediately greeted by Reneé, the owner, who was super friendly and genuine. She took the time to tell us all about her shop and philosophy and answered all of our (many) questions. We learned that she's been in her current location for more than 12 years, and we hope she's not planning to go anywhere anytime soon! We also learned that everything in the shop is handmade by artisans, and Reneé herself hand picks each and every one (even traveling as far as India to do so!). I ended up walking out with a few unexpected but amazing little finds. My favorite? A coffee-scented candle (I've been looking for one for the longest time) called "Americano," hand poured right on Marginal Way by a local Maine artisan! I think I'll have to return next for one of the hand-painted tin cups or meditation cushions. Thank you again, Reneé!...
